Lots of readers gave this episode a good rating on TV.com, but I don’t think it was one of my favorites. A little too out there if you know what I mean.
The plotline was interesting enough, people killing people because they thought they were lizards or snake people that were aliens that were here before Earth was created. Some religious tie ins in that superior beings, the aliens, have always been around and in their form that we see or would attribute them to are snakes. So, think back to your Sunday School days and remember that in the Garden of Eden, the devil was a snake. You thought it was just a cute story, nope he was an alien. [Editor's Note: I totally don't believe any of that, but that's for an entirely different blog]
As I said, the story-line was interesting enough, but the part that really annoyed me was the scene where Ally Sheedy’s character was getting interrogated by Brass, and she saw him take a drink of water and his tongue was a serpent’s tongue.
Two things that were most interesting to me in the episode though were that fact that Ally Sheedy was a guest starĀ as well as Enrico Colantoni. Don’t recognize that name? He was the photographer from the TV series “Just Shoot Me” starring David Spade. Ally Sheedy you will probably remember from the movies War Games, The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo’s Fire, and both Short Circuits (GO JOHNNY 5!).
More interesting than the guest stars on this episode though was that the ending clip shows Grissom working on his own little, intricate miniature model. The video clip below shows Enrico Colantoni as well as Grissom building the miniature.
