Latest on the writers’ strike

Writers-on-strikeIf the writers’ strike end is near, as many in Hollywood believe, then there’s good new for Showtime viewers: we shouldn’t have to wait for new programming. The Hollywood Reporter has a story about where all the network’s production plans stand now, and it looks like Showtime is in some of the best shape compared to other networks.

The second season of The Tudors is already in the can; production on Weeds has begun thanks to the agreement Lionsgate brokered with the WGA, and filming for Dexter and Brotherhood isn’t set to begin till June, so the programming schedule shouldn’t be affected at all. Hooray!
