Landis Directs Tonight’s Fear Itself

Fear_Itself_Landis There’s plenty to fear when John Landis takes the helm in tonight’s episode of Fear Itself, “In Sickness and in Health.”

Written by Jeepers Creepers scribe, Victor Salva, it’s the story of a bride who receives a mysterious not on her wedding day.  It reads: “The person you are marrying is a serial killer,” which casts a shadow over her perfect day.

James Roday and Maggie Lawson of Psych star along with Christie Laing (The 4400), Sonja Bennett (Eureka) and Marshall Bell (Tales from the Crypt).

Keep a pillow handy for hiding your eyes, Fear Itself is on NBC at 10:00.

It was pathetic. It was boring. It was predicible to a point, but the acting was so bad that they couldn’t really pull it off so the ending *twist* just turned out to be stupid instead of the true shocker it should have been.

This was my first time watching this show. I was very disappointed.

And with all the religoius statues around… the violent ones with arrows sticking out of them and such… don’t put something like that in your show unless you plan on using them. Somebody should have been empaled or something. If you put a gun on the mantel in the first act, you have to fire it by the third. Basic story telling.

I am looking forward to seeing this one. I want to see James play a sadistic person. For all the times I have seen him on Psych, playing Sean Spencer, this should be a great change of pace. Hoping it is a good episode.
