Is Beyoncé better than Tina Turner? Kanye West seems to think so. Kanye West told reporters that he believed that Beyonce was a “living legend” and is bigger and if not better than Tina Turner.
In a strange turn of events Kanye has turned from his usual self-promoting attitude to one of praising others. He dedicated his MTV Artist of the Year Award to Lil’ Wayne and now seems to be promoting Beyoncé as the best artist ever.
I don’t know what’s going on but I seem to like the new Kanye more.

NO WAY. Tina Turner is a lving legend. She faced the segregation of the 50s/60s. She is a rock, RB artist.
Bk has success yes but what adversity has she faced.

you guys are kidding me or what ? beyonce ,a living legend?… she is highly entertaining,very beautiful and talented but icons started off as REAL people. she nevers speaks of any struggle or real life situation. she just performs. icons are recognized for their musical , political, and life changing works. A legend? it takes a lot to be a a legend…u just need to compare her to legends to understand what i’m talking about…ok, she can turn on the whole male population n tries sooo hard to sound like mariah carey ( which she doesnt quite manage!!), copies other artists dance moves, styles and choreagraphy concepts and take credit for songs she doesnt manage to write !!! alright, ur right she’s a livin legend…at being the most phony,plastic,manufactured and marketable female artist in music entertainment today entertainment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow Beyonce does not try too hard to sound lie Miriah… she has her own voice. I hate it when people degrade her because she’s young. She will get her props in the legend world when she gets older. She’s the richest artist under the age of thirty. she too home so many grammys in one night. She didn’t do that by trying to sound lie Miiah. She writes her own songs… Miriah does not… she dances miriah does not. Oh and Beyonce represents women… she has an all female band she sings songs to empower them. She actually has faced rascism… if you’ve read her biography. Beyonce deserves some recognition. Just because time has changed and racsim is few. Does not mean she shouldn’t be honored. If that was the case then there would be no colored legands now. She has honored people like Etta james with Cadillac records. She did amazingly in Dream Girls… did Miriah do movies like that??? I just don’t get it. Why shouldn’t Beyonce get her props. She’s been working damn hard since she was young to get where she is now. The derail her….

what does having some type of struggle have to do with icon.. icon means, in this case, a rolemodel or superstardom! beyonce has clearly passed all that.. even people who dont like her can agree. i dont think there is one person who doesnt know her and a song of hers. she is our generations legend. she is beautiful and even if you think shes not.. it doesnt make her less of a legend.. look at michael jackson. she is a talented vocalist. she can dance and entertain.. she takes real life and the internet by storm.. she is an icon.. and a legend.. if she dies today god forbid she will be remembered forever.. now is she as big as legends like michael jackson no but she will be with time..

Legend? hahaha of the booty shaker. THere is no depth in her songs. Tina turner tells stories, messages, and powerful meanings to her songs. Beyonce hasn;t done any of them. ALl the people that think she is, need to take a deeper look in things. A lot of people in this world don’t because they are too stupid to realize.
Ricomora, in time she’ll be like michael jackson? LMFao no when MJ was 21 he was already a legend, no doubt. If many people don;t like her work; change their emotions when listening to her music; realize her “talent”; then she is not a legend. Yes, she could dance(kinda, she mostly shakes her butt and people think thats dancing) but her voice just makes a lot of loud noises, she tries to sound enchanting but it not working for her. Lmao. She’s overrated.
For her to be like Michael Jackson, she needs a lot of creativity. She lacks that 100%. she copies off of artist and gets away with it. I don’t care if she paid for it. What’s the fucking point of being an artist if you are not original and artistic about your work?

i love beyonce, im a huge fan of beyonces but a legend? thats a bit too far. people like, michael jackson, madonna, aretha franklin, marvin gaye, diana ross, patti labelle, the beatles, prince, janet jackson, tina turner ect are legends. and she has nothing on either of them. putting beyonce on that list of legends, she just doesn’t fit. im 13 and honestly, i’d pick tina turner over beyonce, madonna over lady gagag (aka madonna wanna be) and janet jackson over ciara. everything was better back in the day. stuff today is just garbage :P

Ok! First, Kanye West is on crack. I think most of the world has already discovered that. Second, in order to be legendary, one needs time and grade in the production of continued excellence and creativity. This doesn’t necessarily equate to great marketing and product packaging. Please not even mention the name Michael Jackson in this post, because quite simply, Beyonce couldn’t touch MJ with a 90 pole in music creativity. MJ did not have to work nearly as hard as Beyonce or any of these other artists today to become what he became. He just was that Man. My head spins when I think of the way he mesmerized the world with his matchless dancing, singing, songwriting, and creativity in revolutioning music videos. Has anyone come close to that? I was born in 1979 when Michael had just released Off The Wall. I still listen to that album today and it sounds a hell of a lot better than what Beyonce or any other clueless singer/entertainer is putting out today.Don’t get it twisted, Michael is not to be f***ed with. People are still trying to figure out how to do the Moonwalk. Who’s thinking about the “uh oh” as some refer to it or that damn annoying “single ladies” skit. Please get over yourselves. Janet Jackson’s dancing (not singing) was much more entertaining.

And another thing, anyone with good coordination and an abled body can do what Beyonce does. What she does, we have all seen before. Tina Turner was a much more tantalizing dancer and powerful singer. Plus, most of her music made sense and could be understood by a wider audience. Most men just like to look at Beyonce’s ass, and girls like her because they wish they could have her so called “glamourous life.” I know plenty of people in the local high school or university chorus you could sing circles around Beyonce. Her voice is not unique, although it is quite annoying. Dancing– forget about it. Gyrating for most of a routine would hardly be considered dancing in popular dance circles around LA. People are actually laughing at Beyonce. Do you think they were laughing at Janet or Michael?

Beyonce is not better than Tina Turner Legend wise, but I do believe she deserves some sort of title. She is a living legend when you really analyze all the things she does. People over look her because she’s young, but later on she will be noticed.
