I wonder if Ellen Page secretly wishes that she had stayed in as the lead in Sam Raimi’s Drag Me To Hell now that Justin Long has been cast?
From Jeepers Creepers to Apple Computer commercials and then a stint as Bruce Willis’ “go-to-geek” in the latest Die Hard movie, Justin now gets to play love interest to Alison Lohman’s lead role. Justin is still one of the horror hotties to watch.
What we know so far is that shooting for this film will begin on March 31 in the Los Angeles area, and this is Raimi’s latest new project since Army Of Darkness. Where has he been all these years? Besides giving us the movie, The Gift, he’s been dreaming up some scary stuff and waiting for the right moment to pounce. He’s also been busy producing 30 Days Of Night, The Messengers and Boogeyman 2.
Perhaps he’s had a bit of help this time around, since he and his brother Ivan are both credited with writing this latest project. According to IMDB, Justin is the only actor listed in the cast although it’s been well reported that Alison Lohman is to be the lead. Evidently there’s still a lot of production work to do, and with a 2009 release, there’s no rush. We’ll be looking out for this one!
