Perfectly practical in very many cases. But for her to return to the UK only 3-4 years later with a clearly pseudo-American accent bugs me greatly. I can also understand her not wanting to risk her commercial success by recording and performing with a British accent - since that has not been done, soul being an American genre - but it would be a welcome change, in my opinion.
