Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ talk show appearances canceled

Last week it looked like Jonathan Rhys Meyers planned to make the rounds on the talk show circuit to promote his new movie, The Children of Huang Shi. But now The Tudors star has been removed from the guest lists for Ellen, Conan and Regis & Kelly, reports JRMfansite.

Jonny did sit for an interview with the New York Daily News to promote The Children of Huang Shi, about a British journalist who in the 1930s travels to China seeking fame but instead gets caught up in the Chinese-Japanese conflict of the day and becomes the teacher/protector of a group of children who he leads on a 700 mile journey to safety when the Japanese attack their city.

The film opens Friday in New York and LA.
