Jennifer Morrison May Not be Back on House

Here’s more about Jennifer Morrison’s exit from House. Even though the producers say they are leaving the door open for her occasional return, it doesn’t look like she’ll be easy to book. She’s a very talented actress and may not have the time to be a guest on the show again. I say that it’s definitely House’s loss!

Question: Any news about Jennifer Morrison returning to House? –@Sarrie5

Ausiello: I don’t see it happening, unfortunately. Not only will she be tied up on Broadway until at least the spring, but a source tells me that Morrison has been taking pilot meetings. I think it might be time to — don’t pistol-whip the messenger! — move on. [Source: EW]

Liz, there was no talk of divorce, Cam just left town. The show has been on
hiatus, so no new rating numbers in awhile. The last number was Dec. 30th and it was for WILSON. It had 13.2 million viewers. But remember, it was also opposite Monday Night Football that pulled in about 20 mil viewers AND Dancing With The Stars, which also pulled in about 20 mil viewers, therefore taking as much as 40 million viewers away from HOUSE on any given Monday this season. I think the numbers for HOUSE should get better now that both shows are over.

    Amen to that Emma!

No one cares about the Huddy relationship anymore, nor has anyone cared AT ALL about Foreteen (I still think they should have taken Thirteen out completly btw). I have loved the Chameron love story since day 1, & yes, the writers be damned if they don’t find a way to bring her back.

Do we even know if the (I can’t believe I’m saying this) divorce is final, or if it’s just a separation? Also, I wonder what the show’s ratings are now? & another thing, DON’T LISTEN TO AUSIELLO, HE DOESN’T KNOW FACT FROM MYTH!!!

Yes, I agree, they MUST bring her back. I’m just still in a state of denial/shock/utter bewilderment.. it makes absolutely NO sense as to why they would do this.

Already Huddy is fast declining in popularity due to more people realising that the fun sexual-banter between House and Cuddy was dead and replaced by childish and boring lovesick pining. Plus everyone hates Thirteen and even more so Foreteen.

Chameron and the occasional glimpses of Hameron were really what was keeping the show alive for me. As a Hameron fan, that doesn’t mean I want a relationship between the two of them – especially not such a poorly-written one as Huddy, but I loved their subtle chemistry and frisson, as mentioned above. I think they had something special. And Jennifer Morrison as Cameron definitely contributed to the success of the show, because her characer, though annoying at times (and whose isn’t?) was a member of the most perfect team imaginable and her personality completed the chemistry of the show.

Shame on the writers – and I’m sure they’ll regret it.

I feel the same way: BRING HER BACK!!! I have completly resigned myself from watching the show entirely (still haven’t watched episode 8, & don’t plan to), until the writers bring her back. As for Jen doing the Miracle Worker, it’s a great play (read it, & watched the original & new versions), & I give her 2 thumbs up for playing that role. As a Chameron fan, I’m always thinking the positive, & am hoping for the best to come. Don’t forget, the Golden Globes are coming up, & my guess is that she’ll be there, so maybe we can get a few answers for the future then.

It made no sense to write her out? Why they didn’t write her out two years ago along with Omar and Jesse and so we have a brand new team is one question. But another is why her and why now? Taub, Thirteen, Foreman and possibly Chase are substantially less interesting characters. There was a frisson between House and Cameron and this could ahve been played upon. I can only think that the writers have gone bonkers. But to be honest this is not really a good show. it is pretty boring – only the main cast (mainly Hugh) keeps it at all reasonable.

How come you Americans keep watching this show in your huge numbers. Oh well!

I say good for Jen that she’s already found herself new jobs. It’s a huge loss for House and they’re all idiots to write off Cameron because the show will be substantially more boring now. I don’t know what their reasons were for writing her out as a main character, but I can’t think of any that actually make sense. The fan base that will now be lost is surely astronomical judging by the responses online, so it just seems like a mistake all round. I, for one, can’t see why anyone would prefer to watch Boreteen over the potential Chameron marriage – but whatever. One writer to another though – of the multitude of ways to give Cameron her exit, I probably wouldn’t have gone with this one…

I think her ‘exit’ was rushed and her speech to House was bizzare!!
Don’t know why this was done, but I think the way they did it S-CKS!!!

i cant beleive this.it sucks because jennifer has been on house for years and shes just part of house and even though she’ll no longer be on house, she’ll always be part of the house family and will always be remembered:)

As of last episode, her name was still in the credits during the opening theme song. If it isn’t there when the show resumes January 11th, I think it’s safe to assume she definitely isn’t returning. If it’s still there, I would think there’s a glimmer of hope of her returning in some capacity.

ok i give up what is TPTB?

I think she’s doing the right thing and moving on, she’s a talented actress and can do much more than 30secs screentime per episode, altough I do understand what her fans are going through, if my favorite character left I would probably stop watching, but Ausiello is right, move on, I bet she will be with another project with no time.

    “I say that it’s definitely House’s loss!”
WORD! And honestly, I’m glad for her, because she deserves better than treated like that (and her fans do too, we’ve been lied to by TPTB from the beginning, it’s disgusting). As sad as it is, I’ll stick with my old beloved House DVDs, I’m not interested in the new episodes anymore. Couldn’t care less for Huddy MD anyway.
