Jennifer Morrison Joined the Cast of Star Trek XI

Just a few days ago, one of the spy pictures from the “Star Trek XI” set turned up an actress that looked an awful lot like Jennifer Morrison of the hit Fox series “House.” It ends up that it’s not Morrison’s long lost twin sister, but Morrison herself.

TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello talked to “Star Trek XI” director J.J. Abrams to get confirmation that Morrison has indeed joined the cast, and that she is not playing Yeoman Janice Rand.

This is the first actor to be officially confirmed for the film that doesn’t exactly include a character they will portray, and maybe there’s a reason for that. It seems that Abrams worked hard to get her on board, describing her work in the first week of filming as “most excellent.”
