This weekend, L Word star Jennifer Beals and series creator Ilene Chaiken will bring their storytelling abilities to the New Orleans Superdome for V Day, the annual celebration of womanhood and push to end violence against women. JB and Mama Chaiken will use the event to collect the stories of LGBT people in New Orleans and use them as a the kickoff to a new performance project. “Telling your own story is a radical act, and you can make yourself victorious by writing your own history,” Beals told the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
