I dread making ULTIMATE lists like this because inevitably I will have forgotten something and it makes me feel pretentious. So, here it is. My favorite horror films of the decade.

Love to these other horror flicks and some that don’t quite fit but bear a few of the marks: Antichrist, American Psycho, Mulholland Drive, Inland Empire, Shadow of the Vampire, The Call of Cthulhu, The Mist, Trick ‘r Treat, Drag Me to Hell, Cloverfield, Jeepers Creepers, Paranormal Activity and Zombieland.

And for those that keep asking, I’m definitely a Hostel over Saw girl. I avoided Hostel for the longest time and finally saw it a few months ago. To my surprise it was actually pretty good. I think there’s a lot more going on there than many people give it credit for but I’m bored with that debate so I won’t say anything further.

Here’s hoping the next decade is filled with more badassery than the last.
