In Review: Vision Of Disorder Dead In New York DVD

Vision Of Disorder Dead In New York Vision Of Disorder, the Long Island based Hardcore band disbanded in 2002 after 10 years and 5 full length studio releases under various record labels. In 2006 V.O.D. reunited for a DVD shoot. What was birthed was Vision Of Disorder: Dead In New York. In 2008 it was announced that they were reuniting once again and an album is in the works for 2009.

Vision Of Disorder: Dead In New York was filmed from shows on Long Island and Worcester, Mass. Bill Yukich was granted full access to the band and live shows and filmed both on and off stage.

The track-list (can be seen below) for the DVD pulls songs from their self titled debut, Imprint, For The Bleeders and the Still Ep. There is also behind the scene footage as well as a history of V.O.D. and older footage of the band on tour. The footage is on an amateur level but the sound is great. This DVD is probably best for just watching the live set. The behind the scenes, backstage footage is short and after show just shows a lot of fans coming out of the venue screaming “V.O.D. Motherfucker” and variations of the two words. Overall it’s a pretty good DVD if you’re a fan of V.O.D.. I had a chance to see these guys when they were on Ozfest ‘97 but they were playing the second stage and I didn’t make my way over there during their set.

Look for Vision Of Disorder: Dead In New York on November 11th on Koch Records.
