Hugh Jackman: Oscar’s Next Host

I’m not sure how I feel about Hugh Jackman hosting the Oscars. I think I’d like it better if he did the show in character as “Wolverine.”

And it’s a little departure for the awards show, airing Feb. 22, 2009. This will mark the first time in a while that the show hasn’t been hosted by a stand-up comic. Jon Stewart (is he a comic? I guess so), Steve Martin, Ellen DeGeneres and Chris Rock have hosted in recent years.

And really, Jackman won’t be hard to look at for a few hours, right? What do you think? Are you on board with Hugh Jackman as host?
