How to Make a Sushi Knife

smash-lab.jpg

Have you ever wondered how your favorite sushi chefs get so skilled at what they do. Do you ever wonder what makes the knife so sharp. Workers in Skai Japan show us how it’s done on the Discovery Channel’s “Some Assembly Required.” Some Assembly Required airs on Thursday at 9PM on Discovery.

The knives are made by Kenjiro Doi san and his son in their factory in Sakai, Osaka. They are then polished by Ippei san marketed by Suisen and sold by the Korin company.
