House: Snakes on a Cane

Snakes on a Cane is a really cool image of two snakes climbing up a cane that is so very similar to the medical logo, the Caduceus. The idea for the image was Hugh Laurie’s and when he old the folks at FOX and showed them his sketches, they created the image and made it into crew t-shirts.

In yesterday’s chat with Hugh, a lot of people asked if we would be able to buy the shirts with the image, but he didn’t answer that one. Perhaps he doesn’t know yet.

I do want to direct you to a site called Snakes on a Cane where there’s an un-embeddable video showing how they created the set for the Psychiatric hospital. It’s a really fascinating clip!! I highly recommend that you go watch it. :-)

you could have put the Caduceus to/and compare… ôo and I’m thinking if you just knew about it now (on the chat) ’cause this is quite old… I’d think you’d know about it sooner… hmnnn… anyway the clip and the snakes on a cane is so cool, it was a very good idea from Hugh… I can’t believe he still thinks he’s stupid after this…
