Episode 5.23: Under My Skin

We can see from these photos that House is going to continue to suffer from insomnia and Cuddy will try to help him with it. (Hmmm…makes me wonder what she will try in order to help him sleep…) ;-)
The Patient of the Week (POTW) is a ballerina whose skin starts to fall off. Talk about a painful and horrible thing to have! And the fact that Wilson is examining House in the pne photo makes me worry a bit, since he’s an oncologist…

The orchestral piece in the intro scenes were Company Mvt. 2 by Philip Glass, played by the Ulster Orchestra, NOT the Kronos Quartet (which sounds far worse).
Great episode but 2 questions:
- why is Hugh Laurie sporting such poofy hair ?
- this reasonnably smart show is trying to make up believe that someone with as bad an addiction as Dr House can detox in one night, have sex and then go to work. Come on ! What were the writers thinking ? Detoxing from opiates is a BIG deal.
omg! i just watch “under my skin” episode. the best one yet. :) love it. my heart goes out to house when he is in pain. cant wait til the last and final episode of this season. will be sad when it ends :( the we will have to wait even longer for the next season. im going to buy this season on DVD!!!!!!! :)
Excellent episode.
Don’t think the huddy thing will bloom though (if it even fruited – they showed them tearing at clothes but not actually in bed). Next ep’ opener might be one of them backing out (because Cuddy is his boss (as she states in the spoiler for next week) and he her employee.
House might be limping around declaring “we did it” just to goad her into actually going through with it. If everyone at PPTH thinks they did the deed anyway — then they may as well! (that would be quintessential House-flavored persuasion).
Or they did do it, and this thing can’t last (at least not yet, not with maybe two seasons left – no way).
Besides, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Amber. I don’t think getting off Vicodin will last either; unless the pain in his leg is now so minimal that he can function without pain meds – seems unlikely to me. That leg pain is as much a part of House’s personality as his witty sarcasm.
Besides, and most important of all, I would miss the bath tub shots of those naked, masculine, magnificent, amazingly delicious legs!
Hmmmm, what else could happen? House and Cuddy could hook up for a while but he just doesn’t fit into her lovely domestic scene and she breaks it off fairly quickly; perhaps he gets depressed, the pain returns and he ends up on something worse than Vicodin.
Remember the spoilers for the Trenton Institute episode slated for seaqson six (Yeaaaaa! There is going to be a season six!!!!!!!!!!)? Someone ends up there. Is it Wilson’s bro’? I thought he was in New York?
(Or maybe House goes there to diagnose someone?)
And besides all of that, House and Cuddy can’t last because — HILSON, HILSON, HILSON!!!

Can anybody post the name of the ballet this episode open with? Or the name of the music or score the Orchestra appeared to be playing?

OMFG!!!! so i guess it’s not definite until next episode(my dvr cut off next weeks sneak peek), but i think, they had sex!!!!!! yay!! “i always want to kiss you”! oooh, it’s so perfect, i’ve been waiting a long time for this!!!! lol

what was the music at the beginning of the May 4 “House” episode (Under My Skin)? Was it a real ballet? If so, what was the name of it, and who wrote it?

Duuuudddeeee….. I just watched that Huddy video on Fox… I have tears of joy in my eyes…
i don’t think they will bump ugly’s yet.I believe the whole suicide thing kinda changes the whole “going forward ” plan the producers stated a while back.I am guesstimating that they planned on a house/cuddy slamathon BEFORE kal penn decided to book.I don’t see how a house/cuddy ramalamadingdong would fit in right now….=(…sigh……..
well, maybe they will just kiss on this episode.. i read about a spoiler from katie jacobs saying that aside from the much anticipated hook up of house and cuddy, we will also see them kiss one more time before the end of the season.. so, this must be that episode.. or we can only hope so………………..
If you watch the promo for this episode, at the end cuddy ask house “you want to kiss me dont you?” House answers back “I always want to kiss you”. Then it appears that house stepping toward her to kiss her, but if you watch very closely, right before the fade out, will see that house is actually stepping around her.
Oh man!!! This is going to be the longest 12hrs ever waiting for tonights episode, I CANNOT wait!!
I don’t know if we’re gonna see Huddy sex in this ep… I mean, from the 4th and 5th pics we could assume so, but still, the promos can be very deceiving… Don’t forget that “Saviors” promos got Hameron fans all fired up, and then it turned out to be nothing… You know how they like to send mixed signals…
Still, I could be wrong.
I hope I’m wrong! It’s about bloody time they get into each other’s pants ;)

I wonder what the bucket is for in front of house in the first huddy photo? Is House detoxing again? I CANNOT WAIT for this episode and although I say that every week I REALLY mean it this time!
I would SOOOO love to see Mira Sorvino come back in the final episode and “help” House with his problem. They had so much chemistry in the episode “Frozen”. I would be a good way for them to wrap up this season.
