    that’s my favourite episode!!!!!!!!
House is genius. He knew that his father wasn’t his biological father but a…stepfather from the age of 8 (I think)! And of course House’s sence of humor is PERFECT!

Gee, I wonder why no one is commenting on
    LUCKY THIRTEEN?

Next weeks’ ep’ looks like another angsty/romantic romp.
I predict the baby dies or the mom decides to keep it. (And the kiss is heavily tied to Cuddys’ broken up feelings on the matter).
Either way the romance can’t last. When it comes to the primary (and hot), character, that’s just against the rules. That and marriage and/or kids or even a pet Chihuahua! Rats are okay.
Exception to the rule: if the primary is female – for some reason sometimes they’re allowed to marry, get pregnat and bear offspring.
Primary hot male characters are also forbidden to be in any remotely stable relationship for longer that two episodes (three at most. If it passes into a fourth, the love interest must be murdered by bad guys or sicken and die).
Primary male hotties are also barred from complete sanity.
Over-all, House has to remain a socially isolated, cantankerous jerky but also dripping with desirability genius.
I defy you to name ANY actor other than Laurie who could pull all of that together into such a delightful package of cane-thumping sexiness!?

Now then, if the rumor is true I’m looking most forward to the hostage situation ep’ (my guess is it’ll come down at Christmas time. House MD appears to pretty evenly split Christmasses into happy and angsty ep’s.
Go back and watch them and you’ll see. We’re due for Santa skipping his PPTH stop this year.
What was I saying? Right! – IF Cuddy gets to keep the baby, then she can’t have House too.
Sorry, I don’t make the rules.

    Thanks very much!

Wilson loves House for sure but he still seems to look at hHouse as the friend who makes his life interesting. “That strange, annoying trip we just took was the most fun I’ve had since Amber died.”

Hmmm, I think Wilson ought to have given House a proper appology in addition to that.

Wilson’s still thinking of the friendship as to what he gets from it.

Which, I suppose House also does in some ways.

Everyone is selfish to some extent. It’s survival of the fittest after all, battling with mind-over-instinct morality that says Make sacrifices too – prove what your mind and heart are, not just your body.

Though House did almost DIE for Wilson.
That beats almost going to jail any day of the week.

    GeeLady,

Wilson: “Well, I guess nobody gets to choose who their parents are. I’m not even sure anymore we get to choose who our friends are.” [long pause] “I spoke with Cuddy. She hasn’t filled my position yet.”

House: “If you’re coming back just because you’re attracted to the shine of my neediness… [Wilson smiles] I’ll be OK with that.”

Wilson: “I’m coming back because you were right. That strange, annoying trip we just took was the most fun I’ve had since Amber died.”

House: “You hungry?” [Wilson nods] [House gets up, takes his coat]

    House: “Wilson.”

    Wilson: “Yeah.”

    House: “My dad’s dead.”

    Wilson: “Yeah. My sympathies.”

[Wilson switches off the lights and both of them leave the room]

Could someone clue me in on what Wilson’s and/or Houses’ last few words were in last nights’ episode (they were talking in Houses office. House was drinking because he said he was depressed. Wilson started to say something . ..). My station cut off the last minute or so!
    AHHHHHG!

  7. By Eletron

Really was! I was almost in tears at least twice.

Although really wanted to know what happened after the final scene of the ep…wish it had carried on a little longer seeing as all will probably be forgotten by next episode…

Still…THE SHINE OF MY NEEDINESS, love it! :D

  8. By Grace

    WOW!!! What a FANTASTIC episode!!
    LOVED IT SOOOOO MUCH!!

Fatchixsrock2 I was wondering the same thing. I hope Wilson doesn’t know about House’s childhood and that the secret comes out in the end.

Promo says “Will a secret blah blah be revealed?” They’d better reveal it!…just to see the look on Wilson’s face.

  10. By fatchixrock2

No one has said the point I’m most interested in! Did Wilson know about House’s abusive childhood or not? That’s the question I’m most loooking forward to being answred (along with “Will Wilson find out if he doesn’t already know?”).

But after reading an overview for the episode after “Birthmark (“Lucky Thirteen” I believe), it’s said that House uses Lucas to further spy on Wilson. So that means Wilson either DOES come back and House still spies on him (likely) or Wilson leaves again (more likely and more painful).

I also read that besides some Huddy romance (which is my second fav. House romance, I’m a House/Wilson girl), Thirteen and Foreman and posibly going to be romantically involved. I’m interested in seeing that because to me, it seems like Foreman hasn’t been given enough screen time for us (the audience) to form a bond with him like we have with Chase and Cameron (and now Thirteen).

    In Wilson’s Heart . . .

13: “You are the champion of not dealing with your problems” . . .

House: “My grandson gave me a mug with that on it.”

    What’s that all about?

The following is a good possible explanation for that (from Pwwcorgigirl If I remember right):

I took House’s line to be one of his ways of rubbing a little salt in the wound while making a point. If Thirteen does not take the Huntington’s test, she’ll never know and she’ll never have children, and thus grandchildren, because of the uncertainty. Whereas if she does take the test, she can actually make the decision instead of living her life avoiding it.

    My thoughts:
Or it’s the writers giving us another hint of what story plot might be coming up in the show.

Yes, they do give us hints. I recall one episode (either in season One or beginning of season Two) where Foreman, in response to something House (I think) says:

“If you’re an ass, someone shoots you.”

And we all know what happened to House end of Season 2.

I’ve heard other hints about future plot elements too (either in speech or in something someone does) a few at least.

Why would it be a surprise that House would keep a part of his past to himself, not even sharing it with Wilson?
Maybe Cuddy knows this mystery grandson or at least that House fathered a kid when he was in his late teens maybe – a mistake – people do make them, (possible a grandson who sent House the mug ’cause House doesn’t want to acknowledge him but the grandkid wants to know him a little. Trying to find his roots). It would be House typical behavior to reject the kid but keep the mug ’cause of having mixed feelings about the whole situation.

Probably the line was just a joke and means nothing but I can still wonder while I wait…..

I thought the exact same thing Geelady.

Although I really HOPE that they don’t end the series with a major character death…because dead Wilson would be devastating and dead House would probably cause me to die of broken heart syndrome or something crazy like that…

    I don’t want to die 0_o

But I can’t think of how else they’d end it, unless House did finally find a teensy bit of happiness with say…I don’t know…CUDDY! (but a H/W ending, be it slashy or not, would be equally as lovely…But please not death!

    (Big Huddy fan here ;)

NCIS isnt bad but certainly can be taped while i watch house dose anyone else get confused by them trying to put in too many charicters

House & Wilson both 100% straight? Debatable to say the least. Yes I think House is “straight”, though the character is so inquisitive and afraid of almost nothing, I could easily see him perfectly comfortable diving into a relationship with a man if his feelings for him went deeply enough. Wilson? He’s too uptight right now to admit he still cares for House, but the show is replete with sexual inuendo and undercurrents of a very out-of-the-ordinary affection between the two. I don’t think the writers guessed the “Bro-mance” was going to grow as exponentially as it has. As much as H & W can and do drive each other nuts, there is a deeply rooted affection portrayed there that I have only personally seen – for real – once in my life.
IF they took the bromance further it would need to be very near the end of the series’ wrap-up season – at the end. Personally I predict they’ll end the series with a major character death (unless they plan on a movie or two).
They’re already fanfic-ing up the ep’s by giving us themes often seen in House fanfictions: Ambers death, H/W break-up/estrangement, H’s dad dying and a subsequent road trip for H & W arranged by Cuddy. I hear we’re in for a hostage sit’ in one of this years ep’s, a part where we learn how & when H/W first met (considering the ten year gap in their ages, unlikely in college or med school), a Huddy ep’, and one where W’s missing brother shows up.
If that isn’t fanfiction-esque, I don’t know what would be.
    However — NOT complaining!

Sadly, this week’s episode is going to be either a repeat or pre-empted by the US presidential debate. It’s being covered on all the networks. :-(

  16. By Grace

matuk, There’s a difference between loving someone and being in love. Or didn’t you know that????

  17. By Grace

Well, I for one, certainly hope they don’t do the House/Wilson thing. Personally, I don’t think House should be with anyone on the show.
I don’t care anything about Blyth either. She said nothing all those years that her husband was abusing their son. I have no use for either of them.
Nor do I have any use for the next episode which will feature 13 AGAIN.
Did you all notice that HOUSE went from #2 to #17 in the ratings? NCIS had more viewers. That is just sad.

  18. By Eletron

Totally agree with all the House/Wilson talk going on here ;-) But, to me, Huddy is the next best thing :D

Looking forward to House’s speech and all the House/Wilson moments;the ones in the preview look amazing. x

    i’m in!

truly pure, not sexual, but insane romantic love!

    hxw!

  20. By matuk

    They are straight, garce, probably…

But they do not have to be gay to fall in love with each other!!! And they are obviously in love.

Lindy, you are one of my girls!
