Horatio Caine is Dead?!?

If you watched in horror last night’s CSI: Miami season finale, Going Ballistic, you’re probably wondering what will become of the show, Horatio Caine, Wolfe, Kyle, Julia, and Ron Saris, Horatio’s long-time nemesis. Fortunately, CBS video features Emily Proctor, and David Caruso, talking about season 6, and the making Going Ballistic, and includes some frank discussion of what’s going on with Horatio, Wolfe, and Saris.

This season took Horatio to some dark places. This episode showed an ending putting Wolfe in a very dark place. If you’re upset at the developments at the end of the season 6 finale of CSI: Miami, you’ll want to hear what they have to say, especially, David Caruso.

“Yes i agree he isn’t dead, but how does Ryan fit in on Horatio’s shooting? he is a rat,how could he be part of this. well i hope i am wrong about Ryan. What about H’s son? The finale ended where he had a gun. i guess we just have to wait and see.”

Well as far as Ryan goes, like I stated before he would be the last person that anyone would imagine would be on H’s side. Eric and the rest are the obvious choices, so if anyone else were to hear the news from them chances are they’d think H is fine. So he picked the one person who’s status there is already sketchy to the point where no one would believe a word he said because you wouldn’t know if it’s true or if he is getting a gain out of it. Wolfe is the last the kind of guy that you would typically expect to help out H as he has gone between being a rat, to an ally and back again so much in the series. So in a weird way this was a plan to help H and reinstate his status with his friends. Now if he keeps it up and doesn’t mess up here and there then chances are Wolfe will be a “good guy” again.

I was kinda dissapointed by the way the episode went out, it seemed out the H’s plan was revieled so early on in the show. Also I thought he was trying to not only get the bad guy but bring down Elizabeth Burkley’s character as well. Oh well at least we’ll leave it at an exploding boat I guess. I suppose if I watch a repeat of it a couple more times I’ll like it. I mean when I first watched the beginning of Season 5, when Eric and Horatio went to Rio in order to avenge Marisol, I hated that episode and thought it was awful. But after seeing a couple of repeats of the episode it’s now one of my favorites. So I suppose it’s all the in the time you take to watch it I guess. My mother was a little confused about what was going on, to be honest I was as well. So time will tell if I like it or not.

i think thats episode was BULL**** he should be DEAD !!!!

  5. By Darksidehearts

Eh, rather he can act or not doesn’t matter. To me I’m only interested in the stories characters not the people who play them.

  6. By Anon Omus

ARE YOU ALL STUPID. He can’t act his way out of a wet paper bag. Worst actor I have ever seen. He is the reason people don’t watch CSI Miami

@chris –et alia: That is what the spoilers, including the cast seem to imply –more than imply. The mystery, I believe, is who was involved, how many others knew about it, was he trying to smoke anyone else out, how long had he planned this? That’s a long “single” mystery, I know.

@Cynthia: The list of possibilities is boggling. I’m excited to watch and see what happens, this week.

H will not die… the show is doing this for a reason, faking deaths happen in this show we all know. The show’s people wanted it to work this way so that H could go after the person he is hunting a different way and YES someone will die in the season finale, BUT don’t be surprised if it is someone in H’s family

“CBS is not going to lose out on the top selling show they have”

Isn’t that what happened to “Shark” the basically put it on a night where people wanted to see family programming like “Brother’s & Sister’s” and therefore it got lower ratings, it wasn’t until they switched the night of “Shark” to something normal that the ratings went back up but it was known as one of CBS’s top shows along with CSI Miami until that change which effectively killed a good show in my opinion, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong on that.

Hey everyone, I honestly believe Haratio is not dead. He is the star of the show besides Kalley and Eric. I strongly agree it is staged, because CSI Miami is a top #1 show on television. CBS is not going to lose out on the top selling show they have. H will be back sooner than everyone believes. Take it from a #1 fan. I have watched every episode and season of CSI Miami at least every time they show them on A&ETV at least more than three times. So give H some time he will be back.

ok go 2 tv.com theres a little side show on it like a preview or somthing so go there if u want 2 see the first part of csi.miami is h dead

  17. By Darksidehearts

I don’t really think he’s actually dead I mean look back on the way CSI Miami has been run before, nothing is ever quite as it seems on that show. My theory is that it’s a set up to make him look dead in order to make going after the bad guy easier because if he thinks Horatio is dead, H can follow in the shadows un-noticed. Also it helps to prove the doings of (Can’t remember her character name) Elizabeth Burkly, something’s a bit too shady about her I mean I know the guy is bad new but she’s no saint here. I almost tend to think that somehow she’ll use Kyle in order to pull something off.

I do tend to think that Wolfe has something to do with this, but it can go as either against or for Horatio, before Horatio had Wolfe look into Alex Woods as being the Mole remember? So who’s to say that Horatio didn’t have Wolfe set up something well knowing that his current status is still a little wavy between traitor and ally. Basically no one would look at Wolfe and consider him a 100% on the side of justice as he has done a few underhanded things here and there so he’s perfect to aid Horatio as of right now. If he used Eric or anyone else it would be a dead *sorry for the pun* give away that H was up to something. Just looking at it, Wolfe could have made a deal with the bad guy or some shady deal here and there that resulted in H being dead. Which would be something Horatio would set up. He’s a grand stradegist and isn’t easily caught that off guard, of course as previously noted it could always be a reversal in that all things are going downhill. Just keep in mind that nothing is ever as it seems on CSI Miami.

I also think it is fun to watch Horatio. You never know which way he iss going to leave the frame. WE watch because of David….I can’t see the show without him. He and the other actors are great together.

I am glad to see that they are setting up a trap….Fantastic!!!! I can’t wait. It just gets better and better. WOW!

God bless you Marie! My comment (May 27) was critized for being negative. No one seems to think Caruso (and the leading characters) stink as “actors”.
I’d rather Horatio was a dead hero than a weekly character on the show.
As Marie says, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let him be gone.
