Hilarious New House Promo Images!

Try as i might, I have no idea whatsoever what these new House promotional images have to do with the show or the characters. But it is very entertaining anyway. I guess the folks in the graphic arts department had a little time on their hands one day and decided to have some fun. Thank goodness they decided to share the fun with us!

What do you think of these two new images?

They explained it in the snakes on a cane video shoot, although nobody really explained Hugh’s part in it all or why they picked an RV. Here is how Olivia explained it:

    1. Jennifer is the only one actually fixing the problem
    2. Olivia said her character in the shoot is like Lara Croft, being the watchdog and kind of looking out for everyone, surveying the landscape for danger.
    3. RSL is chucking golf balls, not helping the other team out at all.
    4. Jesse is grilling chicken – not sure why
and they didn’t talk about Lisa E’s role in the shoot, or at least not that I heard.
    5. Peter Jacobson’s role in the shoot was the “safari guy”, more concerned about appearance than actually doing anything to fix the RV, and it was so funny how he and RSL were joking about this. RSL called him the guy that got kicked out of the Village People.

I know the art dept. saw the van as the patient, but given that Hugh wrote the entire shoot’s treatment from there, I would say the van represetns the broken down House himself”

-Cameron , the prrincess, trying to fix him
    -Cuddy’s his sexual desire/obsession
-Wilson the only guy he can relax with
-Foreman focused on himself & his building own strength
-Thirteen tough ,isolated and defensive..focused on her safety
-Taub still more focused on appearances than substance
-Chase covering the basics but also learning (i.e. the book)

hmm, indeed. it WAS hilarious and creative and original when we did it two years ago. Too bad the team involved in making this image didn’t go to the source to RE-create it

    Ahahahaha…
I laughed so hard when I saw this. I believe it may be my favorite picture of the cast in its entirety.
Olivia, Omar, and Peter were my favorites. I giggled lots. Haha.

the purpose of these photos was explained in one of the last 2 issues of TV Guide… here’s the blurb:

    “House’s Strange Trip:
In July the cast of Fox’s hit drama ditched Princeton-Plainsboro for a camping trip gone wrong a PR shot conceived in part by Hugh Laurie. “the idea from Fox was to place the cast around a broken-dwon RV. It symbolized the patient, and they were supposed to heal it,” says photographer Florian Schneider, who’s shot campaigns for Desperate Housewives and Lost. “Hugh thought we should do something more humorous: Imagine they’re on their way to Vegas and the RV breaks down – this is how their characters react.” To see an exclusive video of the promo shoot, go to tvguidemagazine.com

Jennifer was the one who takes matters in her hands to repair the engine.
Lisa is elegant and sunning herself.
Jesse completely unaffected and flipping burgers.
Robert doesn’te play golf so Laurie gave him some tips on his swing.
Olivia is Lara-Croft style survivalist since her character is pretty tough.

I just keep thinking, Hugh makes one good looking American. Both pics are fantastic of him. The rest of the cast photo is very creative and original. Bravo to Hugh!!!
