In Henry Poole is Here, Luke Wilson stars as a guy who abandons his fiancée and family business to spend what he believes are his remaining days alone. The discovery of a “miracle” by a nosy neighbor ruptures his solitude, but will it restore his faith in life? More importantly, will it restore ours?
In theaters (limited release) on Aug. 15, 2008. Also stars the Adriana Barraza, who blew me away in Babel. Check out the trailer:

If you missed Luke Wilson in Henry Poole the first time around, I encourage you to check out the recently released family version of the film. I absolutely loved this movie! It was such a great story about a real life guy who was struggling with his faith and accepting it. This is something that I’ve been struggling with myself for the past couple of years. It was such an encouragement to see this played out. And it’s really cool that I’ve found a site, http://www.henrypoolebelieves.com. Right now it looks like they are giving away 10 copies of the movie for free. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, or even if you have, you could always give it to a friend, but it’s definitely worth checking out! It’s a PERFECT film for a FAMILY movie night!
Its finally HERE- Im really looking forward to checking out Henry Poole Is Here in theaters today! I love Luke Wilson, and Cherly Hines from Curb Your Enthusiasm is hilarious! I just watched the music video for the winner of the MySpace Henry Poole theme song contest, and it’s pretty cool. Been a fan of Mark Pellington’s for a long time, and I love his work. You can find the music video here:

Really looking forward to checking out Pellington’s latest film Henry Poole Is Here starring Luke Wilson. It’s about a guy who abandons his fiancée and family business to spend what he believes are his remaining days alone. The discovery of a “miracle” by a nosy neighbor ruptures his solitude and restores his faith in life. It hits theaters on August 15th, and looks like it should be a pretty interesting dramedy. The theme song for the film can also be heard here, which was picked from a contest held by the film’s director, Mark Pellington
