Steve Coogan plays Dana Marschz, a failed actor-turned-worse-high-school-drama-teacher who needs a break. So he rallies his Tucson, Arizona students to put on a show! Well, a horribly politically incorrect show called “Hamlet 2.” It’s a musical sequel to Shakespeare’s Hamlet that includes a song called “Rock Me, Sexy Jesus.” That pretty much says it all, doesn’t it?
Directed by Andrew Fleming, this movie is rated R for language, including sexual references, brief nudity, and some drug content. Also stars Catherine Keener, David Arquette, Elizabeth Shue, and Amy Poehler. Opens wide on Aug. 29, 2008. Official Site. Check out the trailer:
