On May 14th I posted info about the new show on Planet Green called Greensburg. The show is about the rebuilding efforts that are taking place in Greensburg, Kansas after the tornado devastation in 2007.
Dave was kind enough to post a comment about the song playing in the commercial for the show. I haven’t gotten a chance to see the show yet but my sources are telling me that the song is “Anyway” by Martina McBride. Here is the video below. If you could listen and let me know if this is the song playing in the commercial.

Yes, that’s “Anyway” by Martina. She’s a Kansas native. Last year she had a concert scheduled in Wichita in June, just a few weeks after the tornado, and she donated a couple tour buses to bring people from Greensburg into town for the show.

I just saw a really short commercial for Greensburg on TLC and the song playing on it wasnt by Martina. I have heard the song before and it was sung by a male singer with a really soft voice and only a piano… any idea who it might be? Thing is you dont hear the guy singing it on the commercial only like the first few seconds of the actual song then the commercial is over.

the song on the commercial is not Landon Pigg or MArtina McBride. I have heard the song before, I believe on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Love the song, but wish I could find out what the song and artist are. Keep getting dead ends to my question.

The song used in the commercial is “To Build A Home” by the Cinematic Orchestra. It was used in an episode of Grey’s, that’s how I found it.

Thanks for the info !! I’ve been looking for that music for weeks. I just watched the first episode hoping for a clue – But No ! they didn’t use it in the first episode – only the commercial. I just purchaed a CD on Ebay with 4 versions of the song from a guy in the UK. I’m glad I found this site. Thanks again, Ed & Geller.

You nailed. I saw a snippet of the song as they were showing the previews, and it first it sounded like ColdPlay. Man I love the internet. Just got it downloaded.
