This October 31, Syfy will be celebrating Halloween with a six-hour haunt hunt that they call Ghost Hunters Live.
The day begins with a count down of the viewers’ choice five scariest episodes of Ghost Hunters. Then, Destination Truth star Josh Gates will join Ghost Hunters Steve Gonsalves, Dave Tango and the Ghost Hunters Academy team for a night at the infamouse Essex County Hospital: the massive, abandoned hospital complex where over 10,000 souls perished.
Throughout the evening, you can log on to www.syfy.com/ghlive and help the team gather evidence by scanning the location through five live camera & audio feeds, letting the team know of suspicious activity via the site’s popular “panic button” feature. Steve, Tango and the team will investigate these hits during LIVE segments throughout the marathon.
I sat in for a few hours last year, even though I kept telling myself enough was enough. There’s something oddly tempting about watching live webcams looking for any sign of ghostly activity on a cold Halloween night. Are you likely to spot anything paranormal? No, but it’s still a fun party. Hope to see you there.
The six-hour event begins Saturday, October 31 @ 7 PM ET/PT.

Yep..GH sucked….really bad….i mean really bad…watched Ghost Adventures on Travel….MUCH MUCH BETTER….production was awesome…..fans participated in the Ghost hunt live on scene and also guys did this for like seven hours…excellent job Travel channel..will be wacthing…Im hooked…
ghost hunters live 2009 SUCKED!!!wth showing reapeat episodes of previous investigations and showing no live investigation have Jason and Grant gotten so high and mighty now that they can’t investigate a live show at least with ghost adventures they at least took the time to be there my god .I seriously doubt i’m going to watch anymore of these guys as this just goes to prove fame has given them swelled heads and this gh academy come on how pathetic can you get i hope the guys at ghi are not like this .it seems now its all about how much $$$$ can be made with the gh name I for one as a now former would rather watch most haunted than this dribble !!!!
Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel blows Ghost Hunters out of the water!! The crew on Ghost Hunters are really immature, lame, and dont respect their fans. Last year when they had their fans send videos to be on their live Halloween show, they dissed all the fans as idiots! Wierd, we dont claim to be experts on the paranormal but interested fans that watch their show and keep them in new vans and equipment! Ghost Aventures on another channel is more into their work, as well as respect what they are doing and the people that not only back them but watch their program. Steve is rude to the fans when they wanted to merely join the crew for an investigation in a contest last year, and he had a big hot spot on one episode on rectium area, and smelt the bathrooms fan vent. Ya, i would watch that, lol. The Ghost Aventures put more time and thought into their program, you guys just waste our time with shushing each other with what you thought you saw or heard! You lost me as a fan! disresting the fans, and wasting our time wont get my vote
I agree with those who thought that the Ghost Adventures live event was a bit goofy. It seems like an American Version of Most Haunted.
The Host of the Ghost Adventures Live show was Dean Haglund, better known as Langley, one of the ‘Lone Gunmen’ from the TV series X-Files. He did have some word stumbling going on, but they probably hired him for his celebrity status (even though no one seems to remember who he is), not for his Hosting abilities…
I only managed to see a few minutes of the Ghost Hunters Live show because I was out for Halloween and my recorder crashed… Hopefully (if it wasn’t just a bunch of reruns) it’ll show up on video-on-demand (for free).

Before you berate Jason, remember that Brian went to GHI with ROB, who is laid back and easy going. So he should have been able to make it as a good investagator, but were is he??????? Brian quit several times and Jason and Grant let him return several times. Steve is a damn good investagator and what does it say about you when you put down Steve who has never done anything to you. Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.
I’ve decided to speak my mind on something I’ve wanted to say for a long time. Watching the way Jason treated Brian for getting scared & running reminded me of why I stopped watching Ghost Hunters long ago. I don’t know any of these guys, but I can’t believe the arrogance of Jason, a big nobody who seems to believe he is “somebody”, and the shameful way he has treated Brian, at every opportunity – obviously, because he feels more important when he can tear someone else down. Jason, look out – people who do this to others find that it will come back to bite them on the butt, later on, and I hope I can see it when you, finally, get yours! You could have done a lot to teach & help Brian become a better, more professional hunter, but you chose the low road, instead.
Stop & think for just one minute – Why would you condemn, and publicly, yet, Brian, for a moment of weakness, but you have your friend, Steve, who is afraid of bugs, heights, etc. – that makes your team look more foolish than Brian running, or forgetting things, or anything else? You’ve made Brian’s problems much worse by the way you treat him. I tried certain jobs where, being nervous, I made MANY MORE mistakes because of the way my superior treated me, in public, rather than being kind & helpful. When I had a different boss, who treated me with kindness, I regained my composure & got really good at the job. What a difference it made! You could learn something from that, Jason, and ask yourself why you think you have the right to be cruel to someone who deserves, at least, the same respect as your scaredycat friend, Steve.
I have summeted three questions to ghlive and not one has been answered. I know questions and statements sent in after mine have been posted. This years show really sucks. If They do this next year I won’t be watching. And that would be the first GHlive show I would have ever missed!

I agree this is a drag. Reruns, will there be a live show. Or do you have to have the internet to see anything live? This is ruing my Halloween!!
Yah, I’m getting a little annoyed too. Saw all these episodes already! Why have cameras and act like it’s interactive if they will only go to where we all see stuff once an hour or so. Bummer. Still love y’all, but man. Disappointed. Hoping this changes soon?

I read some of the comments posted here about Ghost Adventures and as much as I love TAPS, at least they did a LIVE investigation last night from beginning to end. Sucks that the first how every many hours of this live show tonight is recaps of old episodes and to boot NO JASON AND GRANT!!

this is stupid this is all not live some is and most are repeat if you are a ghost hunter fan like i am you would of seen all the ones they are showing i want somthing new and exciting not reruns if i want reruns i would of watched nick at nite for reruns of there shows. ghost adventure was way better so far .
Last year was awesome…I hope this year is the same if not better!!! Keep up the great work!!! Im gonna see if I can follow the live view on my pc…

I cannot get the live cams to work either. We tried to download the media player again and that did not work.
