Fans of Ghost Hunters? Get ready, because it was just announced this week that the team will be back for Season 5 in 2009.
There will be 25 episodes of the paranormal plumbers, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, busting ghosts by debunking what’s real and what’s just dust on the camera. According to the network, this season has been the best one yet, and has been bringing in the female viewership in record numbers, by the way.
Maybe it’s because they’ve given terms such as “shadow people”, or “EVP” household popularity, and helped bring other knowledge of the supernatural to the mainstream.
What is it about these two guys, their team, and this show that makes them so popular? I’m betting it’s the fact that each week, they introduce us to a new alleged supernatural setting, and take on the truth in an honest, and interesting way. Both Jason, Grant and the team do the job they set out to do, while at the same time, are not afraid to be themselves, and have a bit of fun.
Ghost Hunters airs on Wednesdays at 9:00 PM ET on Sci-Fi. Pictured above are Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, and the rest of the crew.

I like that the original Ghost Hunters (Jason, Grant, Steve…) really do a good job of trying to debunk a haunting and sometimes find unexplainable events. More often than not, they will say “I still can’t say this place is haunted”. I get the impression that GHI is more trying to prove a haunting than debunk it. Sometimes it’s hard to see the difference, but it makes it much harder to trust their impressions of the case.

I love this show my mom and myself and my three kids watch every night at 7pm, I ve always been interested in the paranormal, ghosts, hauntings, etc. I hope to get into it more, ive had plenty of experiences here in my own home, there has been three people that has died in my home may years before, the owner fell down the basement stairs and hit his head on the concrete floor, his wife later killed herself in my bedroom closet many years later, and a man fell off the roof while trying to repair, so yeah ive had people talk to me, things go missing, then later appear a few days later, doors open and close, lights go on when no one is a round them, etc. but yeah i love the show jason and grant, tango, steve and the rest of the crew, are awesome, what i see is not just friends and co workers but a family. keep up the awesome work, you should try coming to canada sometime to check out a few of our haunted places.

What a bunch of BS….. these guys are frauds, caught faking evidence MORE than once….come on people…plus they are in pretty deep with the BRENT FAIR fraud for TAPSCON2..they try to say it isn’t related to TAPS..but Ummm the name is TAPS con for a reason and they promoted the event on their sight they are in it up to their necks and the DOJ is investigating as you read this. Hey just to educate yourselves..take a trip over to http://www.scifake.com and see what everyone is talking about. As for Season 5….why waste your time watching these guys who have no-respect for their fans or audience try to insult you with their fakery….~A~

Ok, people, keep the bad mouthing to yourselves. your just saying there fakes cause someone else is saying it, why dont you contact TAPS yourselves and see if you can join them for a show, to see if they are fakes. Im sorry ive seen every show even the International ghost hunters, and they are both great shows, but I have to say myself that TAPS ( jason, grant, tango, steve and kris and the rest of the crew) are genuine when they are on thr hunts. I would give anything to go on a hunt with the TAPS crew. I keep trying to convince my hubby to go to the graveyards and stuff with me but he wont, hes chicken. anyway all i want to say is JASON, GRANT, STEVE, TANGO, KRIS AND THE REST OF THE TAPS CREW KEEP UP THE AWESOME HUNTING OF THE PARANORMAL, AND EVPS, I HOPE YR KIDS( GRANT, JASON)ARE PROUND OF THERE DADS, I KNOW MY KIDS ARE PROUND TO SAY THEY ARE ADVID WATCHERS OF TAPS, AND HOPE TO DO THE THINGS U DO.BUT LIKE I SAID COME TO CANADA SOME TIME, I LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN CALLED MIDLAND, ONTARIO. AND WE HAVE ALOT OF HAUNTED PLACES AROUND HERE AND OUR NEIGHBOURING SMALL TOWN OF PENETANGUISHENE, ORILLIA, BARRIE, ETC. like too see you go to St.Louis;from 1700s to now a lot of killings from gangs;and outlaws;And about 67 miles south Park Hills Missouri between the north & south some times borthers killing borthers;and outlaws;And familys wars;land wars;at one time park hills was called Flat River;Flat Creek;Flat Woods;Also wars between whites and Indians;And wars between Indians and Indians;But the 1920s to the 1950s not only the mob killings thier comeing down from St.Louis.But the 100s of blacks hanged;The tell is some nites you can hear them still.

Hi to all.
I have one question for everyone. Why hasn’t the TAPS Ghosthunters team gone back to the Iron Island Museum in Buffalo, NY. This was one of the best shows EVER! This should have been the Halloween Special this year. Great haunted location. Come on lets join together and get them back to Buffalo at Iron Island.

March 3rd specail 100th epsiode at alcatraz.I emailed them and suggested it.I went to San Francisco in 1998 senior year of highschool.I went to go to the San Francisco art museums.I saw men coming in in their prision suits.I got so scared i turned my head when i was on the bus.They definately got inmates still around.I hope jay and grant catch them and evp’s.I wonder if their gonna tell them to leave.That prision is too scary.I saw a cell slam in grants face on the commerical preview,it looks like a very spooky episode.Good luck guys,i love watching your investigations.

Please, go out and try it on your own. This TV for pete’s sake. Do you really believe this docu-soap as real… Must be nice to let someone else andswer your questions- Anyone want swamp land- I got a bunch for sale…. Get up, fiond a group and DO IT YOURSELVES!!!!! I wonder if they’ll use all their cash for the haitians or are they planning to go there to find ghosts. What i hear about this group/show really has me thinking how money can change people- even make them hurt others to get it…….how sad…..just some thoughts.

I think that’s a fair assessment. I wonder if the GHI team is just giddy about being somewhere so old and so amazing that they lean toward wanting to find something vs. not. Hmmm…
