Get Well Wishes to Kristin Chenoweth of ‘Pushing Daisies’

Sad news comes from the sitcom entertainment world via E! Online’s gossip maven Kristin Veitch. In a September 6 column, she reports that Tony-winning Broadway heavyweight and Pushing Daisies regular Kristin Chenoweth has followed in the unfortunate footsteps of fellow sitcom actress Jenna Fischer and fractured several ribs after a tumble down some stairs. Veitch clarifies:

I’ve just heard from reliable sources that Kristin Chenoweth, the beloved Broadway superstar who is a series regular on ABC’s much buzzed about new series Pushing Daisies, slipped and fell at home down a concrete staircase and fractured a few ribs.

Sources tell me she’s recovering and is such a trouper that she’s determined not to affect Daisies‘ production schedule. However, producers have insisted on moving around a few scenes in order to give her as much rest as possible. Kristin is back on set today.

ABC’s whimsical supernatural crime dramedy romance (Whew!) Pushing Daisies co-stars Chenoweth as Olive, a pie-shop waitress with a major thing for protagonist Ned (Lee Pace). The series premieres Wednesday, October 3, at 8pm EST.
