Star Trek fans, get thee to a Del Taco (my favorite fast food joint) for a nice promo offer. Right now, Del Taco is offering four collectible Star Trek cups when you “macho” size your meal.
Each cup comes with a code for a free trial run on Star Trek Online and an exclusive in-game shuttle pet. Visit Del Taco’s Facebook page for links to downloads, videos and other Trekkie goodies.
If you don’t live near a Del Taco, rumor on the gaming boards is that you can buy a code by calling Del Taco’s headquarters but I don’t know if that’s true. People who do live near this glorious fast food haven are already offering to buy extra cups for people for a price. Just how valuable are these online codes going to be? I’m assuming you can only have one trial per person so that’s a lot of extra cup codes for me since I buy a macho soda at Del Taco several times a week.

The codes do not expire after beta they are registerd to your account and stay with you for the life time of your account.
Wow, I didn’t look at the fine print. Two days hardly seems worth all the effort plus I see people buying them on ebay. The 10 day thing is designed to make you go back to Del Taco again and again in order to get the four different styles of cups – then you get an extra two days for finding them all. I hope it’s worth it for people who try it out.

but since none Del Taco in within my country (Germany) i have really bad chances to get one there.
I also found some useful information on official Startrekonline web page:
“Even if you do not own or subscribe to Star Trek Online, each code you redeem (up to one per cup type and four total) will grant your account two days of free trial time. If you redeem a unique code from each of the four exclusive Del Taco cup types, you will get 10 days of free trial time.”
Since my english is not perfect i might be wrong but it looks like each cup has a certain fixed code (maybe the same for each cup typ) and then also unique codes where you gain additional access of 10 days instat of only 2 (up to 8 in total).
So since i would like to have a space shuttle pet later on maybe you could spare a code if you have as you told several a week?

The Star Trek Online Beta lasts until Feb 1st. So the beta codes from Del Taco are a short term thing.
If you have an extra key, I’d take one.
