Information about the pilot episode of Jay Mohr‘s new CBS sitcom Gary Unmarried (formerly Project Gary) has been released by the network.
The big premiere date is Wednesday, September 24, at 8:30pm EST, following The New Adventures of Old Christine. Together, the two series will start a new midweek, hourlong comedy block on The Eye that will lead into a show that couldn’t be less funny if it tried, the often gory FBI procedural Criminal Minds.
On Gary Unmarried‘s series premiere, the title character grapples with the news that his ex-wife is newly engaged as he tries to find someone to love himself. Not deep stuff, but good enough if it’s actually funny.

I saw an episode of the show on an American Airlines flight a week or so ago. The show is really funny and I will be watching it every week.
