Full Trailer For Slamdance Selection ‘Tony’

The full trailer for Gerard Johnson’s UK horror-thriller Tony is now available. Check it out below. The film has been selected for a special screening at the Slamdance Film Festival which runs January 21-28 in Park City Utah.

The film stars Peter Ferdinando in the title role as Tony, along with Ricky Grover, George Russo and Francis Pope. From IMDb:

“A week in the life of a lonely psycho-killer with severe social problems and an unfashionable moustache, Tony is a darkly comic take on the horror/killer genre. Peter Ferdinando plays our eponymous anti-hero as a nervous and misunderstood loser, unemployable and on state funded job-seeker allowance for 20 years, but prone to sudden acts of extreme violence against anyone who might torment him.”

There have been comparisons to American Psycho and Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer which sounds damn good to me. Also on tap is a soundtrack by the Brit post-punk group, The The. This will be Matt Johnson’s first full length soundtrack and he hasn’t put out an album in a decade so I’m really looking forward to seeing what he’s been working on.

Check out the trailer and let me know what you think. Let me know if you’re going to Slamdance so I can convince you to buy me a ticket and let me hide in your suitcase.
