Foxy Brown Released From Prison

After being sentenced to twelve months at the Rose Singer Center for women in Rikers Island in New York, police were present as Foxy Brown was released on Friday, April 18th 2008.

Immediately after being released from the prison, Brown changed her clothing and met up with her mother, Judith Marchand and lawyer, Charles Barron. She was also greeted with tons of reporters and supporting fans, some of whom even wore t-shirts saying “Free Foxy Brown” and carrying pink balloons.

While at the Rose Singer Center, Foxy Brown faced 76 days of punitive segregation after violating three of the center’s rules.

Brown is releasing a new album on May 13 and is in talks to star in a reality TV show on VH1.
