Sometimes what you imagine is 10 times more frightening than what you can actually see. This is the question that is being asked about The Mist.
Fangoria is hosting an amazing contest to celebrate the debut of Stephen King’s horror film tale of The Mist on DVD. It will be available next week on March 25th!
I’m an intense fan of this movie, and more of the story. Whether you loved the movie or not, this is a chance to win some pretty cool prizes, all in honor of a DVD release. All you have to do is write or show what is really out there in the mist that scares you.
Here are the prizes:
- 2 Grand Prizes of The Mist poster and Special Edition DVD, signed by director, Frank Darabont.
- 10 First Prizes of copies of DVDs from the entire Dimension Extreme DVD Library, which include Hannibal Rising, Black Christmas, 1408, Feast and Pulse
Rules: Your written description must be in 50 words or less, and the image or drawing must be less than 2MB in size. This sounds incredibly easy. They had me at 1408.)
The deadline is midnight PT on Friday, March 28, 2008. Go on and see the additional rules, and enter the What Is In The Mist Contest! Good luck!

When will the winners be announced? It’s been almost a month now.

ChoKo, I’ve sent an email out asking about this, and hope to have an answer soon. I’ve also looked on their site for the info. It may be that they only notify the winners, but I don’t like that policy. I’d like to know who won too! ;)
I’ll email you, and answer here when I get the news!

Thanks a lot.
Say, do you need someone to review horror DVD’s and stuff? If so, I’m your man. I’d love to help out in any way possible. I really enjoy your blog.

Any word from Fango on the contest winners?

No word yet, but I looked back at some of my emails from when I entered previous contest at Fangoria and they indicate that you’ll only be notified if you win. I suspect this is the case here.
Check your emails and see if there’s a notification from when you entered the contest.
