Animal Planet announced a new series following the lives of animals with unusual abilities and talents.
Extraordinary Animals, set to debut June 13th and will be narrated by Star Trek and Boston Legal star William Shatner . The show will look for animals that have abilities more in line with humans than their counterparts in the animal kingdom.
On tap is an elephant able to paint with her trunk; a sea lion capable of logic, a skill once thought to be reserved for humans; a dog that can do mathematics; and a cat that can play the piano, among others.
The show will consists of 17, 30-minute episodes and will begin airing on Friday, June 13th at 9:30PM ET/PT.

Thanks for the link love, Shana! I didn’t know about this – good ol’ William Shatner. I didn’t really care about him one way or another until he became Denny Crane on Boston Legal. Now I just love him to death :) Sounds like an interesting animal show!

Yeah, me either (not caring about him). But we’ll see, I’m sure he’ll provide all the dramatics that are needed for on point narration.
