Ok, Bones fans. I just got off the phone with the Bones writers and, first of all, they are all delightful! I had a blast, and I have a ton of great things to get typed up for you.
But in the mean time, Hart Hanson approved one HUGE spoiler for them to reveal during our interview.
And this is an exclusive!!

The Bones writers revealed that during season 4, Brennan decides that she wants Booth to be the father of her child!!
How about that for scoop? I have no details about whether this is a passing idea, or a multi-episode story arc, but it’s a big spoiler, in my opinion!

This type of moment has been used on other series where the UST between the two leads is a central theme. Remember when Scully asked Mulder to father her child?? It was actually a really touching episode that showed the depth of their committment to each other- even though they were not romantically involved at the time of the episode…that came later ;)
JAG also did it with Harm and Mac- but more in a cute, teasing way. I think both worked well and I trust the Bones writers to get it right! I wonder if this will be part of the “fan fantasy” episode that Hart Hanson has alluded to???
The next thing I want them to copy from the X-Files if the whole “go undercover as a married couple in suburbia”…I can only imagine how funny that would be with Brennan and Booth!!
Keep those spoilers coming…I am SO psyched for season 4!!!!

i would imagine it in a hypothetical scenario. i can just hear her saying “if i did want a child you would be a good choice for the father with your strong alpha male blah blah blah….good genes, etc.” so it’s probably just a headliner to get viewers. can’t you hear the promo?

Ok i am a HUGE Booth/Brennan fan, I obsess of every detail in every epiode and I’m dying for them to get together but I really hope this is a passing conversation kind of thing. Brennan has firmly expressed her ideas about children and for her to suddenly change her mind is completly out of character. On the other hand if it was a passing comment that didn’t really mean anything then it would fit perfectly in character like that good breeder comment.

I agree with some of you…Even though the idea of them having a baby together is absolutely mindblowing fantastic-it would be too much out of character.If it was a comment in a passing moment (like some of you mentioned before) it would work perfectly.Besides,I don’t think Booth would agree to that.If he ever chooses to have another child,he’d want to be involved full time.He wouldn’t just want to “father” a child and then pick it up every other weekend.He would want the whole deal-with whomever he might have a child.Maybe that will bring B/B closer somehow? :-) But it definitely is a great spoiler.I envy you,because here in Germany,we haven’t even seen season 3!!!!!

I can’t believe it….but i’m still a bit curious. maybe she gets pregnant with 1 of the two gys she’s dating and then asks Booth to be the father. STILL CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If she got pregnant by someone else and asked Booth to be the father there would be uproar and I for one would stop watching, it would be so wrong on so many levels :( :(

IMO this spoiler will be 1) she asks Booth to be the father of her baby and they are not in a relationship, to which he will say no to, he is so not that guy 2) B&B are in a relationship by the end of season 4 and want to start a family 3) It is a passing comment between the two, which Brennan states that Booth is the perfect man to have a family with, have a child with (something similar in Glowing Bones) to which we will all squee at :) :)

OMG, this is huge. I have to agree with most that this will probably be a conversation piece between them, “if I decided to have a child, I would want you to be the father because of your strong qualities and because of how great you are with Parker…..”
