Evening Eclipse Helps You Adopt-a-Bat

I suppose it’s a cliche to love bats when you’re a spooky girl but I really don’t care. Their little scrunched up faces are adorable, they fly and they help our eco-system. What’s not to love? Luckily the people at Evening Eclipse agree with me and are part of an Adopt-a-Bat Program to help save these feared and misunderstood creatures. The program is in association with the Bat World Sanctuary in Texas–an organization dedicated to public education and the preservation of these winged wonders.

This is how the program works. Purchase $80 worth of Evening Eclipse products (including at least one Bat Fragrance product), and they will donate $35 to Adopt-a-Bat in your name via the Bat World Sanctuary. You get to pick the bat you want to sponsor and there are some real cuties to pick from! I’m kind of in love with Nosey Nostrils and Orkin.

Along with your Evening Eclipse order you will be shipped:

  • A personalized adoption certificate.
  • A matted 5″ x 7″ glossy photograph of your bat.
  • Your bat’s personal story.
  • A graphic representing the size of your bat.
  • The natural history of the species.
  • A beautiful bookmark.
  • A bat rescue card.
  • A “Cool Stuff to Make You Smarter” myths and facts card.
  • A one-year membership to Bat World Sanctuary that includes our seasonal newsletter, Bat World News!

So, stock up on candles, fragrances and all the other things you need to make your crypt creepier. You’ll be saving a bat in the process and you didn’t need to watch a Sally Struthers commercial to do it.

Awwww. Of course I’m sure this is low on people’s lists of priorities in a recession, but nice idea.

i figured a lot of people are buying stuff like candles and whatnot for Halloween–perhaps they could shop here and save a bat too!
