It’s a classic case of a sensationalized Internet rumor becoming “news” by virtue of being spread like wildfire throughout the blogosphere. The Net was ablaze today with word that Evangeline Lilly is leaving Lost. Don’t panic — she’s not! EW’s Michael Ausiello is just one of several reporters who’ve refuted this absurd notion by reminding everyone that Lilly is contracted through the end of the show’s final season, and that Lilly’s reps are saying that the rumor is ridiculous and entirely baseless.
So in case you saw this “news” reported elsewhere, and wondered why ApproachingLOST ignored it… Well, to be blunt: I’ve been a reporter long enough to know crap when I smell it. ApproachingLOST is serious about what we do, and selective about what we print in order to earn your trust and maintain a standard of credibility.
Stepping off my soapbox,
Your humble Lost blogger.

If only it were true :-)
I find Kate to be one of the most annoying characters on TV … Nothing against the actress, I just can’t stand her character.

I’m not a big Kate fan either. I’m a strait dude and I can say that I would rather see a shirtless Sawyer on screen than a confused Kate.

Lol :P I’d rather see more of John Locke and Ben Linus together! That scene of yesterday was absolutely fantastic!
They are both my favorite characters, but I must side with Ben this time. Didn’t Christian Shepherd warn Locke not to ever trust ben!

Kate started out as a very cool, compelling character. I’d like to see her get back to that take-charge tough chick we met in the pilot episode. I enjoyed seeing her thrive as a mom for 3 years, since she was never able to maintain a commitment or a relationship before. I have hopes that she’ll find redemption on the island again.

Kate IS an interesting character! But still, she isn’t my favorite. I much prefer Juliet to her, mainly because there still is some mystery in Juliet. All Kate’s backstories have been revealed to us, and the only question left is; what has happened to Aaron.
I liked her character most in season 3, where she couldn’t make up her choice on Sawyer or Jack.
I would really like to know what is going to happen now, since she just “got back” with Jack, and will soon hopefully meet Sawyer back on the Island.
Having said this, I wouldn’t be too sad to see her go, despite the fact that she is Kate! Hmmm.. I am really contradicting myself :p
