Also best show was Bones finding out finally how she’s cut herself off from life and how much she’s lost in the process…including Booth. One of the best acted scenes was his telling her he loved his new signif. other and she was too late. The shock for her is amazing.

What would be fun would be her and that very very smart night watchman starting up a relationship. He was a definite positive addition to the cast and he might be a good starting place for Bones to rejoin humanity

I just started watching “Bones” less than 1 year ago, and after watching past episodes on DVD, I was stunned and devastated when I got to the end of Season 3. So, I got curious and decided to find out what happened — why did Zack/Eric leave the show?

I was on Twitter, and noticed that both Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan were both on Twitter. Hart is very active on Twitter, and I chatted him up. They only things Hart said was that they would love to have Eric back, and that there “opportunities” to bring the character back in future episodes.

Well, then, I saw Hart’s interview after the 100th episode party…. and, I must say I was shocked. The impression I was left with was that Eric was fired/asked to leave for 2 reasons: 1) Eric wanted to develop his Zack character more and wanted more air-time. I personally think the fans would have loved that, simply because they loved Zack Addy. Hart Hanson and company didn’t agree. 2) There were personal conflicts on the set. Hart Hanson also made the comment that in “no way, shape, or form” will Zack ever return to “Bones” as a regular cast member — only as a guest star.

The thing that pisses me off about this is that Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan sit out there on Facebook, Twitter, etc. giving the fans every indication that “yes” Zack may be back, when in fact they have NO plans for that whatsoever. Of course, they are doing this because they don’t want to lose viewers, but hell, it’s a crappy thing to do, and it’s dishonest.

At this point, I am done with “Bones”. I will start watching again if/when they bring back Zack as a REGULAR cast member, and not just 1 episode per season. I believe that Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan, etc. betrayed “Bones” fans with what they did with the Zack Addy character. Since it is evident they don’t care about the fans and/or viewers, I’m not going to care about the show any longer.

None of the alternative characters provide the necessary combination Zack brought. Mr. Millegan brought boyish charm, physical features, and the “inexperienced genius” persona that made us buy the whole package, as well as fall in love with the character! A Brilliant cast! A successful show! If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

I liken it to Andy Griffith without Don Knotts! ER without George Clooney! etc.

Mr. Millegan I know you will go far in this industry. I only hope the producers will respond to all the fans requests to return your character to the show. I know I already miss you!
