Emmys red carpet: Best comedic actress nominee Mary-Louise Parker

Like Elizabeth Perkins, her Weeds costar and fellow Emmy nominee, Mary-Louise Parker chose a purple shade for her red carpet outfit. The color was about the only thing the two outfits had in common, though. MLP opted for a super-short, one-shoulder frock and sky-high Louboutin heels while Perkins chose a floor-length, long-sleeved gown.

Parker’s two-tone style and the gigantic bow at the waist show that the actress — often a risk-taker when it comes to her red carpet ensembles —  is once again comfortable with daring fashion choices. Love it or hate it, MLP stood out on a night when most actresses chose snore-inducing black or red ballgowns.
