This is the outfit that Emily Deschanel wore to the Genesis Awards this year. She always looks amazing, but let’s take a closer look at those shoes, shall we? Yes, they go well with the dress. Yes, they probably cost a small fortune. And it’s true, one can’t just wear them anywhere and an awards show is probably one of the few places they work. But should they? I have to admit that even though she is always perfectly put together, I think the shoes are just way over the top. But it’s just me. No one ever called me a fashionista…. So what do you think of them?

With any other outfit, perhaps not. But they match wonderfully with the simple tapestry dress. On the ornate side, sure, but she wears it well!

haha. i kinda like them. they match the dress fine…but they did remind me a bit of scarlett o’hara. hahah.
They are a little glamorous, although the ties look a little like curtain ties… I could do with a different strap. But she’s lovely as always!
