Playing against type is nothing new. Anyone else remembers Cagney & Lacey?
In the early 80s, Cagney & Lacey depicted 2 women balancing both careers and personal lives….which was definitely “against type” in those days!
It’s great that Emily is continuing the good trend for female actresses.
