Today, several vigilant Bones fans sent me the link to this interview with Emily Deschanel & David Boreanaz. Apparently, in Australia, Bones is still airing its second season, so the Santa in the Slush episode developments have not been seen there yet. So here’s Emily’s interview, based on that timing.
“I think the series is served by us not getting together, certainly not right away,” Deschanel says.
“I think it’s nice to kind of see those characters dance around each other and I think if everyone is smart we will wait until the last possible moment.
“At the same time, I think the characters belong together and ultimately they should be together, but I think just the nature of the characters is that it will take a very long time for that to happen. And they have kind of fallen into their roles.”

In the article, Emily goes on to talk about how she in very interested in forensic anthropology, like her character, Tempe. She says that she likes the fact that anthropology looks at things from a “bigger picture” than psychology. Hey, that’s a very insightful observation…one that Tempe herself might even make. ;-)
And David talked about how much more interesting it is to be in a show that isn’t so “procedural,” like CSI or some of the others. He likes Bones because of the interaction between Booth & Brennan. He likes the personality of the show and its characters. And when asked about his character, Booth, he said this:
“What you see is not really what you get with him. He likes to change fairly quickly. I like that. It’s who I am,” Boreanaz says.
But don’t just take my word for it, go read the interview here. :-)
