Ellen Barkin, Famke Janssen in for "The Chameleon"

ellen_barkin There was a story published in The New Yorker last year, "The Chameleon: The Many Lives of Frederic Bourdin." Bourdin assumed at least 39 identities, three of them missing teens.

Now there’s a movie in the works. "The Chameleon," is being directed by Jean Paul Salome, and will star Marc-Andre Grondin, Ellen Barkin and Famke Janssen.

The story centers on the reunion of a young man (Grondin) and his family after he’s identified in a missing persons case. But is he really the same person? That remains to be seen when people start getting suspicious.

Barkin will play the mother, while Janssen will play an FBI agent. Nick Stahl and Emilie de Ravin also star.

These types of movies always fascinate me. Did you see "Catch Me If You Can"? It starred Leonardo DiCaprio as Frank Abagnale Jr., a man who posed as all sorts of people.

That was an awesome movie; check it out when you have a chance. And it really makes you think about how easy it is to assume another identity.
