THE DVD: “The Nightmare Before Christmas: 2-Disc Collector’s Edition” is the musical story of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town who decides to make the place more cheery by turning himself into Santa Claus. Things don’t go well, as you might imagine. Read my review and watch a video clip here. Beautifully remastered, with tons of bonus features. Rated PG for some scary images.

This is one of the all-time greatest efforts in storytelling, and it has everything for the whole family. Animation just doesn’t get any better than this.
This may be Tim Burton’s masterpiece, even though he didn’t direct it.
I would love to have this modern classic in my DVD collection.
