Dexter’s Michael C. Hall goes shopping without his new wife — and co-star — Jennifer Carpenter

The last time we had paparrazzi pics of Michael C. Hall, he was all glammed up for the Golden Globes red carpet, where he and wife Jennifer Carpenter made their public debut as a couple.

Last week, Hall was spotted sans Carpenter browsing the shops in Beverly Hills. The Dexter star picked up a few things at Mephisto shoes, then took a break to send a text message before he continued on his way.

Dexter Season 4 starts shooting soon, with Hall as blood splatter expert/serial killer Dexter Morgan and Carpenter as his foul-mouthed sister, Det. Debra Morgan, .

In the haitus, we hope we’ll get more chances to see the couple out together. They kept a low profile when they were dating, but last month they were spotted having dinner with friends at Hollywood’s Pace restaurant. An observer said they were over-the-top affectionate with each other then, which can only be a good thing — what newlyweds aren’t all lovey-dovey?
