So. Freaking. Excited. Watch with Kristin got the scoop on Season 3 of Dexter, straight from producer Clyde Phillips. The writers have just started work on the new season, so not all of this stuff may end up in the final scripts, but here’s what we can look forward to:
Dex is all growed up: Phillips said the third season represents Dexter’s adulthood, where Season 1 was his childhood and Season 2 his adolescence. He’ll still use the Code of Harry, but will make it his own.
Anything’s possible: Without the Darkly Dreaming Dexter books to guide them, the writers are starting from scratch on the plotline for the next season.
The One? Rita and Dex’s romance will continue. She and her kids help keep him grounded.
In mourning: With Doakes gone — permanently — Lt. LaGuerta continues to grieve, though Phillips didn’t get into specifics on how she’ll cope with his death.
No word on Deb‘s story arc yet either, but I think we can safely assume that Masuka will still be telling raunchy stories and Baustista will be looking for love in all the wrong places.

dexter’s amazing.
They lost me in season 3. I think season 1 was great, season 2 was ‘ok’ and season 3 was a lot worse. I am of!! I am not gonna watch season 4, the serie became to soft for my taste. What i liked so much in season 1 was that there was a dead body every 5 minutes, now its a soap with hardly one dead body per episode……whats up with that????

Love the series, sham here in Australia we have to wait for another year or so before we see series 3. Series 1 is just about to wrap up here . I needed to see series 2 so I went out and bought it, was not disapionted good work.
I really don’t care how series 3 will be, but i am sure it is gonna be great but I will have to wait until it is here on DVD to see it hurry up please Australia catch up with everyone else…..

No Doakes is dead. Caught a moring radio show the day after s2 finale and he said he is 100% dead and not coming back. I too saw the spoiler trailer where Dex is gay and pray that it isnt true. It just doesnt fit his profile at all.
My guess is that Doakes is not dead. He brought to much character to the show to have him killed off. They will make a way for his return and he will be ticked-off.
Dexter has to be more careful about leaving his fingerprints on the plastic wrap and the black plastic bags. I noticed he didn’t always wear gloves during his clean-up. Please, Dexter don’t get sloppy
Dexter should find out Harry was murdered by the police, and didn’t commit suicide. The captain being the likely suspect since he tried to cover up the autopsy report. Or Harry killed himself to protect Dexter because the Captain found out about him. The back story as developed could be that Harry had dirt on the Captain and Harry stood to be promoted to a position to get rid of the Captain. Harry was a good cop, and loved Dexter, he knew what he was and wouldn’t have killed himself because of his part in Dex’s creation.
