The above comments say it all.

We had this series in Britain and it is absolutely dire right through to the limp ending.

Make a note of the series writers and avoid them (or, if you can, recycle them (very slowly)).

See <a href="http://www.concatenation.org/news/news1~10.html#gravity" rel="nofollow">warning here</a>.

Defying Gravity is great! With some 'real' science (love the Venus sequence) and some 'real' faith, mixed with 'real' people in 'real' life situations -- what more could you ask for? So there's no bullets; no bosoms or butts (yet) -- pick up your IQ a little and check it out!

'The hope that we could come together and turn our combined efforts to exploring space instead of killing each other is a welcome message these days. It’s a brand of Roddenberry-esque optimism that I for one am happy to indulge in."

I have ocean front property for you in Montana for you. If we could just all get along ahhhhh. Ya never has, never will. live in that fairy tail mind of yours and stay out of the way. This show sucked a fate one.

I thought the show really didn't have to offer than the conspiracy thing behind everything. I have a full review of the episode on my blog.

I enjoyed it, but I think I may well be a key demographic: A female sci-fi fan who enjoys her soaps. Frankly if all you want is a show where you can nitpick the technical details, it's not for you. But I was left intrigued enough by the storylines to want more.

Drama aside, I really liked the idea of an international spacy agency able to get such an ambitious idea off the ground. In addition, not only is the cast playing a diverse crew, they actually represent diverse backgrounds. (One cast member is Israeli, another German, and a third is Colombian among others.) The hope that we could come together and turn our combined efforts to exploring space instead of killing each other is a welcome message these days. It's a brand of Roddenberry-esque optimism that I for one am happy to indulge in.

Most pilots are a little shaky upon take-off, but I for one would be interested in hearing more of the stories that Defying Gravity has to tell us.

Ummm...how about a little bit of reality in a space show. Float....
Logic..tethers that extend 300 feet have winches.
You don't take IKEA into space...

This show could have been so much better with a better crew (director).

I liked it, made me feel good about my life and how we give every other limited knowledge culture a chance to use ours for free.
