Starting today, Comedy Centric is hosting a spectacular giveaway in honor of this Friday’s hotly anticipated U.S. premiere of The Dark Knight, the next entry in the Batman film saga.
Thanks to the generosity of renowned Italian jewelers Nomination, I have one stunning stainless steel necklace finished with a gorgeous, gleaming Batman pendant to give to one lucky winner.
Nomination, creators of the original composable link bracelet — also known as the Italian Charm Bracelet — and a worldwide leader in the steel and gold jewelry market, have created two eight-piece stainless steel collections inspired by DC Comics’ legendary Batman™ and Superman™ characters.
The collection of elegant female, male, and unisex pieces consists of pendant necklaces, charm bracelets, drop earrings, and “must-have” items, such as accessories for handbags and jeans, to be worn day or night. Both collections are sexy, funky, and versatile, with a fusion of style and iconic design.
Following in the company’s tradition of crafting beautiful yet durable pieces, the Batman necklace with mixed chains featured as the prize for this giveaway is made of stainless steel that guarantees a lifetime of tarnish-free wear. The retail value of the necklace is $115.00 USD, and it can also be purchased at the online Nomination Store.
In keeping with the giveaway’s superhero theme, all you have to do to enter for your chance to win is leave a comment on this post explaining the most courageous thing you have ever done. Make sure to also use a valid email address when commenting so I’ll have no trouble reaching you if you’re the winner.
The giveaway is open to residents of the United States and Canada only, and the entry deadline is Monday, July 28, at 11:59pm EST. I’ll randomly select one winner after the entry deadline and then contact that person for their mailing address. Please, only one entry per person.
I’m really eager to read everyone’s astounding tales of adventure and/or good deeds, so Good Luck!

I tried to save my little sister from a starving wolf/dog mix breed. I only distracted him for a couple of seconds until my Mom got there. I was eight.
This is something I don’t talk about or try to think about much because it still is way to scary for me, but almost 2 years when I was vacationing in Tampa, FL some friends and I were at this Blues Club on the borderline of a not so good area. I went out to our car to get my cell phone which I had left in there, and I was “attacked” by 2 guys. They didn’t sexually assault me, one just grabbed my purse and the other knocked me in the head twice and then they took off! In spite of the fact that I was hurt and shocked, I ran 4 blocks chasing them until I couldn’t run anymore. Apparently someone had seen all this transpire because as I was trying to walk back to the club, the police pulled up next to me to help me and take my report on what had happened. I had a gash on my head from whatever I was hit with, and I never to this day have any clue what happened to my purse or the contents in it. But, the one things I learned from this is that I am a fighter, I chased them and god only knows what I would have done if I had actually caught up with one of them, but the adrenalin rush that came over me was something I won’t ever forget! Thanks for letting me share my story! Thank you for offering this amazing giveaway from Nomination. What a great keepsake this would be for me to remind me I do have the strength and power within me to fight back!

I miss my 20′s. Being 30-something is not as fun.
Threw myself (literally, one of those diving jumps where you have to hope for something soft to land on, ’cause you’ve given it all you’ve got in order to GET THERE) at a co-worker who unthinkingly stood up in a place with heavy machinery spinning over our heads, with large metal enclosures hanging down into right-at-head-height… It was a case of “looked up, realized ‘what an idiot, he’s going to get killed’, and found myself diving” almost without thinking about it… After the fact, as much as anything it was a matter of “I don’t want the memory of seeing what is about to happen”…
