We have no confirmation yet as to whether the character of Warrick Brown, played by Gary Dourdan, will live or die. But we do know that unfortunately, he’ll be leaving the show. I can tell by the comments so far that I was not the only person to be shocked beyond words when Warrick was shot in his car at the ending of this week’s CSI episode. I could feel it coming with the scene of them all saying goodbye at the diner and the tone of the song, but I had no idea it would be so graphic, or so shocking.
Over the past eight seasons we’ve seen Warrick go through some very personal and difficult times in his life as well as watching the romantic tension between his character and that of Catherine Willows. He’s gotten married, divorced, been framed for murder, overcome a gambling addiction, helped save his fellow CSIs from many close calls, be happy and sad and through it all we’ve enjoyed him on the show.
I, for one, have not only enjoyed the character, but enjoyed watching such a handsome man in the role. Gary Dourdan has been one of my favorite actors to watch for eight years. What a great-looking guy! And now to find that he’s had recent drug-related problems, well, it’s hard to take. I will remain a fan of Gary and will hope for his outcome with the drug charges and his career to be good ones for him. I can just feel that we haven’t seen the last of him. He’s a great actor and I look forward to the future roles he will play.

And as for the fate of Warrick Brown, I guess we’ll have to wait for the beginning of season 9 for the answer…

I am myself a CSI in Lebanon (forensic doctor in Lebanon)… Since I discovered CSI LA 9 years ago, I grew with them like as if they were my own family… (as silly as it may sound). I never get affected with death in my work… I’ve seen it all… But you surely MADE ME WEEP like a child when I watched my “brother” Warrick die in the last episode of the eighth season!!! I felt so shocked the whole day. I kept saying to myself don’t be desolated, it is just a show. But to me, this CSI LA was more than a show… it really got me hypnotized to reality! And I wish Gary Dourdan does come back somehow… Same applies to Sara and Grissom… I know one left, and the other will…

I was just curious about Gary D.’ where abouts and decided to look on line to see if I could find anything and I came across this. I too miss his character on the show but I’m getting used to Lawrence Fishbourne’s character as well.
I do wish Gary D. the best of luck in his personal and professional life. Come back to us soon Gary. We love you and miss you.
i love csi still, but compare season 1 to season 9, it just doesn’t have the same effect we have lost 3 main characters – sara, grissom and warrick and i think we need to bring back grissom and sara! i was so upset when warrick died – i couldn’t stop crying. :( i miss him, i think we need to bring back sara and grissom – then the show will be as incrediable as it was 9 years ago on season 1! and onwards – CSI RULES! :)

I mean how can this happened ? 8 seasons long i have enjoyed warrick present , working together with the csi team , and now he is death ?? nooooooooooooo!!!!!!! this can’t be true . Is really so sad to see him leaving the team like that !!!!!
Damn, damn, damn… I miss Warrick so much. Gary Dourdin will be missed by many. Such a awesome actor.

Gary Dourdan should not had to die in the show he should just went for awhile like the other actor. this show will never be good with out him he was part of their family. He would be miss so much. Now no one will never ever be him they will never ever be as good as him. I think he should stay on the show.

i think itz to late to do anything rite now because they already aired the episode with him getting shot as well as his funeral so therez nothing they can really do rite now…
uless they they make it all a dream or something, but it doesnt matter what they do they just need to bring Warrick Brown to the show ASAP!!

OMG!!!…forgive me i’m a Brit, (who is abit behind) but please dont tell me that Gary’s character has been killed..as much as i love CSI every show needs a sexy smooth character who is little rough around the edges this show WILL NOT be the same as the boots are too big to fill…what was CBS thinking they should of gave the man what he wanted as i would say the show is as a big here as it for you guy and girls over the pond and its not like they can’t afford it!!! i speak for all British fans that haven’t/just seen this episode he will be missed dearly!!!

so sad to think that we won’t be seeing warrick brown anymore. he’s one of the originals on the show. like what everybody is saying he should have been given another chance. i have anxiously waited for the 1st episode of this season expecting he will still be alive. very sad to see him die in grissom’s arms. i won’t be interested in watching csi without grissom and warrick
