Last night, we saw the third part of the all-CSI crossover trilogy. I was so excited to see Laurence Fishburne on all three CSI series, and I knew the story would be gripping. I was not disappointed about either. But I felt just a bit like the three parts were a bit too different. Is it just me?
I get it that the same group was taking girls and forcing them into prostitution and when they refused to cooperate they would dismember them and dump them. And I get it that the girls were being trafficked all across the nation by crazy truckers. And I get that pimps in Las Vegas were fighting over turf and would hijack each other’s girls. But it just seemed a bit like each of the series’ portions of the story were too disjointed from the others. Maybe that’s just me…?
I loved Langston getting to work with both Horatio and Mac. And I loved the idea of a series of crimes that moved from city to city. But it seemed to me like the M.O. of the crimes changed too drastically with each city.
I could be completely wrong about it. I would love to hear your input about the three episodes. Do you think they tied together smoothly enough? Did you think the differences in the crimes on each of the segments was necessary or clear enough? I would love to get your opinions and hear what other CSI fans have to say. Please leave a comment and let’s discuss!

Overall I like the trilogy; but I have two problems with the shows.
1) The ways they shot some of the lab scenes on CSI:Miami fading in and out, strobe effect on some and the weird camera angles. It was hard to watch sometimes.
2) The fact that it was only Ray who went from Vegas to Miami to New York. I though Catherine and/or Nick should have also gone with him since they are senior to him.

I actually dislike the multi-series cliffhanger thing; seems like an artificial way to raise ratings for shows that are struggling, sometimes.

I found them a bit of a downer, started out strong, but somehow stalled, not sure how, but it happened. I love all 3 shows for being diverse

I agree about the biggest problem being Ray not being senior enough to be the expert called in. It’s really irking many Vegas fans that in the past Grissom held back Nick, who was a level 3, in the early days, and yet Ray’s operating as if he’s head of the lab.
Then there was the slap in the face of having Horatio express condolences to Ray about Warrick’s murder. Forget the fact that the appropriate characters to get those condolences — directly — would have been Catherine and Nick.

I really enjoyed it. I don’t watch CSI:Miami because I don’t like it but to my surprise I really enjoyed it. At first I was against a 3 way cross over, I thought it was a bad idea and would not work but I was wrong. It was a well written and interesting story.

i haven’t seen the trilogy episode yet in the UK but i can not wait for it to come to light, i really enjoy hortachio interacting with the other csi leaders and hope it will be a interesting show, personally i wish they had done a trilogy show with grissom rather than langston. Bye! :)

The idea was interesting eventhough i don’t usually watch CSI miami (sorry Horatio but U’r gettin’ on my nerves lol)…
Maybe that’s why i think the miami part was the weakest of the 3, i’ve found it really too slow nearly annoying.
The NY part was really great, good rythm and an entire team at work . OK, I have a thing for Gary Sinise, but honnestly Mac is THE MAN …(agree with problem that Ray don’t seem experienced enough).
The Vegas part was interesting but really too different .
For now i’m waiting for the end of the compass killer arc in CSI NY , a way better story than the crossover IMO…
ps: sorry for my poor grammary as we say in my country “I speak english as a spanish cow”.
