Well, at least they didn’t decide to kill off another of the CSI: Miami team. It was hard enough seeing Speedle get killed on the show. But if you check out this from Michael Ausiello, they almost decided to kill off Delko too!
And there’s even some more surprising news about Adam Rodriguez. He’s going to be in ten episodes this season instead of the seven we heard about already. And fans of Adam should plan to watch him on Ugly Betty in five episodes this season too.

Ausiello: Delko was originally going to turn up dead in the season premiere. It’s true! When Adam Rodriguez failed to come to terms on a new contract over the summer, CBS allegedly recommended that producers simply write it in that Delko didn’t survive last May’s cliffhanger. “But I wasn’t comfortable with that,” says Rodriguez. “And I spoke to [exec producer] Ann Donahue and she wasn’t comfortable about this either; we really wanted to make sure that the character had a proper sendoff. So she petitioned CBS to make this work.” Now Rodriguez will return for a total of 10 episodes (not the seven I reported last week), during which he’ll change professions and sort out his complicated relationship with Calleigh. “Like any great love story, I don’t know that the books will ever be closed on them,” says Rodriguez of Calleighko. Housekeeping note: Rodriguez has shot three of his 10 Miami episodes so far. He’ll juggle the remaining seven with his five-episode arc on Ugly Betty. [Source: EW]

If eric is in more than 10 episodes in season 8 i’m going to keep watching CSI:MIAMI. but without him the show stinks.sorry adam but without you the show is not that fun to watch..I only watch the episodes that you guest star on csi miami..Ugly betty isn’y my show it seems so stupid……It seems like cso’s misses you and calleigh probally do too…..I miss you on the show..Jesse isn’t that funny………your the funny one and so is ryan,horatio and natalia
I am definitely a CSI:Miami fan, however if Delko goes, so do I.
Dimples is just not enough to keep me watching- You gotta bring back Delko. He and Horatio are the bomb team and Calliegh….man can’t she win, once at the game of love. She so sweet, give her a husband and child….she and Delko are made for each other.
I am a die hard csi:miami fan. But mu love is delko. This sucks can you all please bring delko back
I don’t want Adam to leave the show. If he is not going to be on it, I won’t watch it.
This is definately good news, ten more episodes is definately better than 7 more. Let’s hope that when they see the ratings go up due to Calleigh’s and Eric’s relationship they will decide to keep Adam Rodriguez on the show. Personally, I think the ratings would go sky high if Calleigh and Eric get married and have a baby.

this sucks. he’s the only reason i watch the show. how he be taken off the show now? and when he and calleigh finally get together. will their love team end?

One more thing. Adam was that good in his current movie, sorry Adam. I believe you need some more MOVIES acting classes. :(
