According to Michael Ausiello of TVGuide.com, Gary Dourdan is leaving CSI: Vegas! He’s been a part of the CSI crew since the show began and now he’s announced that when his contract is up at the end of this year, he won’t be returning to the show. I, for one, am sad to see him go. I have always liked his character and, hey, he’s not hard to look at either! As I find out more details of his plans after leaving the show, I’ll let you know.
Meanwhile, the great news is that William Petersen has signed a contract to return for another year. And from what Ausiello tells us, none of the other cast members plans to leave just yet. So it’s been a tough year for the original CSI show, but hopefully, with the continued great writing and acting the show is known for, the show will continue to maintain its audience.

Just like everyone else who made a comment here, I was not happy seeing Warrick shot :( That scene was so sad. I wish they didn’t kill his character so he could at least appear as a guest like Sara. And it was weird watching the show for the first time without Warrick. I’ve been a fan of the CSI Las Vegas since it started and Warrick is one of my favorite characters. I heard the Grissom is leaving too? Wow. I’m really sad about where this show is heading.

i hope thay watch the ratings because with out warrick me and a lot of others will no longer watch csi vegas warrick helped make csi what it is i hope no one watches this week lets show them warrickwas worth more then the crap tay gave us
Sorry I left out part of a sentence there. In my humble opinion, w/o Warrick, the show is pretty much just the “formula” without the substance.
I agree that William Peterson has definite star appeal. But, I am certain some new “white guy” character can replace him. Warrick’s character was very unique. Your remaining cast is blanco. Oh yes, there might be some lame attempts at latino cast members. But, then why would I be surprised, the only black man u hired had “blue (or green)” eyes and he was of course the first regular cast member you had to kill off.

I agree, it was nothing short of insanity to kill off the only sex appeal factor in this show. I was faithful to the original cast when all the “clones” surfaced, but when the network decided to not just temporarily eliminate “Warrick” while contracts were negotiated, etc… but, to kill him off PERMANENTLY… this, is very disturbing, wihtout the sex appeal element of “Warrick”, all CSI’s (original and spins). This means I will likely switch channels and surf for whatever peaks my interest. “Warrick” kept my attention, because he was an interesting character, but also, because those blue eyes (at least on my tv) with his dark skin where stunning. When those eyes looked into the camera, it was captivating.
I hate it that CSI is guilty of the cliche/classic error of killing off” the black guy. My loyalty is gone. I may tune in from time to time… but the loyalty is gone. NETWORK: Hope you survive your stupid choices.
oh well i have watched and enjoyed years of c.s.i. every thing good must end i will no longer watch c.s.i. vegas i will watch c.s.i. miami i bet the ratings 4 vegas drop
WHY WHY WHYYYYY!! I thought Warrick was a great addition to the show. I really wish his character was more positive. Finding out he was trying to win custody of his son before his demise showed he was trying to turn his life around. I really feel he completed the show and he didn’t get enough play. He was definitely by far the best looking guy on the show and I’m very disappointed he’s off the show. His character will be missed and the show won’t be the same.
I’m very upset that Warrick is gone, I’m hoping that the writer’s will bring him back from a bad nightmare or something especially since he’s trying to get custody of his child… I think he’s a very important part of CSI LAS VEGAS a lot better that Sidel glad she’s gone they rest belong together. I really hope that whatever the problem is that they can settle it and he can come back ..thank you oftherwise I doubt I’ll continue to watch as much as I did….
Well, I just got to watch the episode of CSI where Brown gets shot. I jumped out of my chair, screamed a few obscenities, looked at my husband and said, “I am never watching this show again!” Was I dramatic? Yes. Will I change my mind and continue to watch the show? No. Most definitely not. I’m not mad….Gary wasn’t going to renew his contract and the writers had to do something with his characters. (Though I would have liked for it to have been less traumatic!) It’s business. But now that Sarah and Warrick are gone and the constant threat that Grissom is leaving, I’m done, lol. There are more important things in life to feel emotional about than t.v. Plus….I don’t think I could take it if Nick left. ;-)
We all must understand two concepts in the
death of Warrick, One either the actor or
the powers that be wanted the character
of Warrick gone,next the writers could not
come up with new ideas. Hence Death!
There is a hollywood tradition that mandates
if you run out of interesting storylines eithter
kill or fire the actors. I rememeber in the
golden age of TV it was always done to
remove a person from the show that either
is trouble-maker or they were going to leave
when their contract was up anyway.We should
as fans of the show let CBS know that killing
someone of that way sometimes back fires.
Remember how well they handled STAR TREK.
I am devistated over the cast changes. I am a homebound and disabled. I watch re-runs on Spike Tv every day. As many of you have said, history shows us that once a show starts replacing characters that have worked together since the beginning of the show, viewers stop watching.When they bring in someone as a temp and they die, no big deal. But when they have been working together,the chemistry has already been made. You start kiling them off, or sending them into abis (sp) you are going to loose us viewers. If Grissom goes. I go!
I am truely upset that they have written off Warrick, I like all the original cast, they all had some chemistry that worked. I watched the show and repeats faithfully, that even my 10 month old granddaughter knows the tune (haha), but seriously Grissom, Sara, Katherine, Warrick and Nick just makes the show work. I even like Brass the good doctor Robbins. I don’t know how this is all going to work out, but every time one of a favorite character on a favorite TV show disapears, the show is not the same anymore.
I agree with Jane Kreeger Lawrence is a creep and can never fill Grissoms shoes. They would have been better off making one of the other cast members to fill his space. WE WANT GRISSOM back. If not you are going to loose alot of tv watchers
Gary Durham was great and sexy. The station is nuts for getting rid of him. They are also nuts for getting rid of Sarah and Grissom. If they replace him with Lawrence I will not watch CSI again. The characters they have now on the old CSI are teriffic together. What is wrong with the TV stations. Give them credit for all their good work and a pay raise would also be nice. CSI will not be the same without Grissom, Warrack and Sarah. We love them all.

I love CSI and Grissom is the Star of the show! I am sad that Warrick is leaving. I wish Gary all the best in whatever he does. His Green eyes and perfect smile will dearly be missed! If for any reason.. would he ever come back? maybe his marriage doesn’t work out and then he decides he misses all his friends and working as a CSI.? It could happen. =0)~

as for all the other members..I love them all! I think if Grissom leaves the show.. people will stop watching it.
As for CSI Miami.. If the main guy leaves.. no one could replace him!
And Grissom is a man of my dreams. =0)…finally a man that has looks and is really smart.
I am sorry about the cast changes. I am hoping that if Gary Dourdan gets his act together they will bring him back. Sara is on her way. Where is Denzel. Is he to big for this?
The reason I first began watching CSI vegas was becasue of William Petersen. I am sorry to see him leave. I also will miss Gary Dourdan. And I like Marg as well and the rest of the remaining crew. I cannot stand Larry Fishborne (sp)!!! He is a self-absorbed egotistical jerk! If he is the replacement for Mr. Petersen I will not watch your program as I feel he will eclipse the others (I don’t like looking at him either.) John Malkovic is a great choice and I don’t even mind Kurt Russell so long as Goldie doesn’t make any appearances as she is tiresome. Where’s Denzel?!
NO WAY….THEY CAN NOT KILL WARRICK…NONE OF THE CAST SHOULD EVER LEAVE….I WANT SARA BACK ASAP!…WHAT THE HECK…YOU DON’T MESS AROUND WITH A TELEVISION SHOW THIS POPULAR…SAY IT AIN’T SO?
