Ion is basically the "good version" of Parallax. It's an entity that can apparently choose whoever it wants to host it. It was Kyle for a time and now has chosen Daxamite Sodam Yat. There's a lot of talk about this character being a little too powerful. Daxamites have Kryptonian-level super powers, so Sodam w/Ion is like Superman having a Parallax level entity in him. Technically no one should ever be able to beat somebody like that. No problem. Ion is basically the “good version” of Parallax. It’s an entity that can apparently choose whoever it wants to host it.
